That's pretty cool of him. I'll give credit when credit is due.
You think I'm cool too? Or do I have to post it on social media when I make a drop at Goodwill?

So you give him credit for giving away free suits to criminals? That is fine but It would do a lot more for his image if he did something for victims of crime that those who are committing the crimes.
You realize this is a program aimed at helping people getting out of prison to not go back to prison, right? You really think that's an unworthy cause?

The blind hate for him is ridiculous. He choose to voice his opinion and has backed it up repeatedly with time and money without seeking fanfare or publicity.
Yep. The only problem I have is some of the dumb hypocritical comments he made about not voting and the Fidel Castro stuff.

He is doing something good.. And some people are benefiting from it, but let's be honest. His first priority isn't helping people, its staying in the news and trying to clean up his image in hopes to gain interest in an NFL team (but let's be honest, the reason he isn't on a team has nothing to do with him kneeling during the national anthem last year. Teams will overlook that if he was really that good. He is not a great pocket passer. His style worked under Jim Harbaugh, but at this point there really isn't a team who can use him).
Also, he put himself in that situation. He wanted out of SF when Chip Kelly was hired as their HC. Personally, I think that him kneeling during the national anthem had nothing to do with him "standing up for some cause". He started doing it the 3rd preseason game of the year. I really think he was trying to get cut and if he did something that would ruffle some feathers, he could get cut and can justify it by saying "they didn't cut me because I lacked ability".
With all that said, in summary:
- Him kneeling during the national anthem had nothing to do with what he said it did. If it did, he would have been doing it before he did. That's why its not even worth getting worked up over.
- He thought he would be able to go somewhere else and him trying to get out of his contract blew up in his face.
- Don't make him out to be a Warrick Dunn or other players who do a lot of good without wanting the attention until he doesn't have a self interest of doing so.

Gotta stay relevant
Now, if he helped those people secure homes, jobs, and counseling, i'd think different... but handing out suits one time doesn't mean shite in the grand scheme of things
This is all about him, and not those people
LOL Dumbass

Kaepernick recently made twin $50,000 donations to Meals on Wheels America and the Love Army for Somalia, a social media campaign that’s trying to raise $2 million for food and water for starving people in that African nation.

Since he began his social justice crusade last year, Kaepernick has donated an estimated $500,000 to assorted charities and community groups. On the free-agent quarterback’s website, kaepernick7.com, there is a running log of the donations he’s made.

In January, the last month listed on the site, Kaepernick donated $25,000 each to Brooklyn-based Black Veterans for Social Justice and 350.org, the Center for Reproductive Rights in New York, and the Coalition for Human Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles.

Maybe he does those things and doesn't post about it on social media?

We'll just consider all the good he's done and hundreds of thousands of dollars he's donated to different causes "collateral damage". Is that OK with you, snowflake?
