And there are cases where people that haven’t been tested test positive.

The people who are getting it twice had it mild the first time, and didn’t develop full immunity. This was directly stated in the first articles where this blew up.

The Covid-19 virus will be like the viruses before it. It will run it's course through humanity, whether we want it to or not. Take whatever personal precautions you deem prudent. The only real difference between this, and say the 1968 Hong Kong Flu, is how we have reacted to it. We had the STOIC approach then. If you get it, you get it. If you die, you die. In 2020, we have the KAREN approach. We think we can somehow insulate ourselves from biological reality if we all virtue signal furiously in unison. It's madness. It's a form of narcissism. It's giving ourselves a power we don't have-a power over Mother Nature.

Covid-19 will run it's course, our immune systems will respond or they won't, and Covid-19 will join the list of seasonal influenzas that will be with us from now on. People still get the Hong Kong flu, we just call it "the flu" and it's one of many, many strains of viruses that make us sick and kill us during flu season.

Think about this shite till late September and then quit doing so. You ain't gonna die. And by the way, I caught a cold last week. So I'm social distancing and wearing the face thing. And somebody passed the cold virus to me.

How can someone test positive if they haven't been tested?

The tests are for Corona Virus, in general. There are several known types of Corona that infect humans.

How do they know which of these "reinfections" is Wu Flu and which are the common cold?

For that matter, the common cold Corona does indeed reinfect so they cannot rule out Wu Flu reinfection based on simply being the same species/family of viruses.

This is getting totally ridiculous, they cannot even validate the tests are accurate with any degree of certainty. That in an of itself says a lot. Now you want me to believe that a person can get the 'rona again after being tested and believed to have antibodies present?

No less with reports of millions of faulty tests being circulated around the globe (from china?)....

It's a fundamental misunderstanding of what herd immunity means.

Herd Immunity only works when enough people have antibodies that work. What is being observed is only the severe cases are really generating these antibodies in any significant amount. So even people with the antibodies can get overwhelmed again. Because the virus can hopscotch to and from and back. There's a large potential reservoir. Herd immunity shrinks that reservoir and in the most successful cases the virus burns out with no hosts.

Then it becomes about how long the antibodies from the vaccine stay. Which is looking like a yearly shot.

No, a vaccine is not futile if you can get a disease twice. Wanna take a stab at why your doctor gives you booster vaccinations periodically?

PROTIP: It's because the immunity conferred by the vaccine wears off over time and you need... another vaccine to retain immunity!

This makes sense in a way. However, given the short amount of time that corona has been around, and the claims that people have already gotten it multiple times, or already don’t have the antibodies. It would seem that the vaccine would have to be given super often. Are we really going to be getting “booster vaccinations” every month?

I have been saying this from the beginning. But didn’t want to be called a crazy conspiracy theorist. That these test are just positive test for the coronavirus in general. Which could mean that one is testing positive for a cold and not necessarily covid 19. Another poster cited something straight from the CDC that took it a step further saying that a positive test could be antibodies from any previous type of corona virus infection. Meaning basically if you have had a cold anytime recently, you may test positive.

How is that different from the flu? Get the Covid shot once a year. Or don’t.

You'll never win fights where you don't even give yourself a chance. We have beaten Nature before, and we will again and again in the future. It's in our nature to defy Nature. We don't always win, but we're not powerless; we do have agency.

We might not come up with a good haymaker for Kung-Flu, and we may end up having to let it run its course. But defeatist talk before the R&D operations have gotten going is a little premature.

You can get a vaccine more than once.

The one that's most promising now will require two shots - an initial one followed by another about a month later.

Haven’t had a booster in 30 years. Shouldn’t all of my childhood vaccine immunities have worn off by now?
