I am left hand dominant by far.

Scissors just don’t work left handed. Spiral notebooks are a pain.
Using a clipboard is silly, best used by pulling the paper off the clip and sliding it around.
Most doors are right handed.
Yes, smashing your writing is a problem.

Don’t worry, he will adapt over time.

No big, but he will hate spiral notebooks. All lefties hate them.

I just wrote on the opposite page.

Interesting fact - lots of gymnasts are right-handed, but tumble leading with their left foot. If you ever want to test it, stand up straight, feet together and have someone push you backwards on your shoulders. You will step back on your less dominant leg.

Anyways, lefty here and I have great handwriting, looks like an architect. All caps, very neat.

Like finding a used set of left handed golf clubs.

Ive always heard push forward and you'll find your dominant leg. I'm a lefty and when I do this step right, I kick right footed, but if I were to snowboard I'd only feel comfortable left footed. Actually same when I ride those motorized scooters, I do those left footed.

I do pretty much everything right handed except writing and eating.

Writing can be annoying, I just flipped notebooks so the spirals on the other side, whiteboards are annoying though and same with writing with pretty ink pens that take a minute to dry. Just take your time and sometimes write from the bottom corner up.

I write with the paper turned at about 45 degrees, top to the left, writing "up" the sheet.

No! Let him use his left hand. My parents did that stupid shite of forcing me to use my right hand. Do not do it.

I learned how to bat right handed because we were so poor we couldn't afford a left handed bat.

Actually, that's true for golf due to a set of hand me down clubs.

I think that's why a lot of us use both hands for so many things.

Same with the schools.

My kid is a lefty and pretty much only uses his left hand now. Sometimes he throws or shoot a basketball with his right but I think its because he's still just young and learning.

My kid is right handed is his handwriting is awful. Most of what kids do today is electronic anyway.

Smearing pencil when writing was the absolute worst

And those God awful Eraser Mate pens that came out in the 80's were terrible for lefties. By the time you finished taking notes in class, the entire page was totally smeared.

I’m almost ambidextrous and my son throws and batted left handed. He writes right handed. Also, I’m oddly attracted to left handed women. The last five I’ve had relationships were all left handed. Lmfao.

My youngest sister was a lefty and it didn't hold her back-------even when the teachers at school tried to "break her of that habit".

Yeah, that was a popular thing back when she was a kid, along with not speaking in Cajun French because it would make you look ignorant in many people's eyes.

She got through life great up to the time she got diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor that took her out in 2 weeks time.

My dad is left handed. He has had a successful career, 60 year marriage, 2 decent kids, and a nice home. Handwriting is not a big deal since so many things are written using keyboards. I am sure that your son will do as well or better than many of his peers because he has your love and support regardless of which hand he writes with.

Similar here, left handed to produce bad hand writing, but don’t get the benefit of playing sports on the left. Worst of both worlds.

My little baw is a lefty - 5 yrs old. Teach them to write well and there’s no smearing. And get him throwing heat so you can retire in 18 deals to watch him in the MLB
