did they offer any real solutions for the sink problem?
They're teachers, so unless it involves fricking a student, they've got nothing.

The reason there are so many shitty marriages is because there is no logic involved in picking a partner. It’s all these hormonal, biochemical things going on in our bodies affecting our brains. It’s not possible to keep these hormonal storms going on so after awhile we see our partners for who they really are. There are a variety of chemicals involved-testosterone,estrogen,dopamine,oxytocin,vasopressin.The evolutionary purpose of attachment and reproduction was for the perpetuation of the species.
It worked pretty well for prehistoric people, they reached old age in their 30’s,dead by 40.

When is the last time you saw a TV show featuring a competent dad?

sounds like they're married to a bunch of low-T soy drinkers. If their husbands cannot be trusted to fix basic around the house things, then they deserve every bit of ridicule.

What are you waiting for?

Like women have any idea how anything should be fixed. All they can do is buy a replacement with a mans money

And then they left and went to bang their 13 year old students.

A lot of husbands today don’t know how to fix anything. I have some male coworkers who don’t know how to change brake pads, change oil, Fix the toilet, etc. A lot of guys are just raised to pay people. I guess if you got the money whatever..

This is why you don't just marry the hottest chick you can convince to say "yes."

It’s just a domestic form of out-sourcing tasks.
I can do some of the around the house stuff (much better and more knowledgeable at landscaping and outside shite), but I’ve forgotten most everything. Just the way it is if you don’t practice those skills regularly. Why spend the time and effort learning and re-learning various things (especially with cars) if there is a 1/1,000 chance you might actually use it and can pay someone for your time instead?
There’s a pretty famous study from a couple of Columbia economics grad students - not people making any money - who effectively “out-sourced” all their domestic tasks and instead used the extra time to focus on additional hours at work and/or with leisure activities and they pretty conclusively showed that they came out way ahead that way.
Also, with cars especially, a lot of the modern stuff is so electronically sensitive that I’d just rather not deal with it than frick something up.

You can still do stuff... front brakes, oil changes, alternators, fixing vacuum leaks, rotating tires, pulling trouble codes. That stuff is still pretty idiot-proof.

automatically label you as an idiot for choosing a poor marriage.
Interesting take. Do you think people choose cancer? Or choose to be robbed? Do you think someone chooses a stock with the hopes that it will be a bust?
While I agree their choice may result in a bad marriage, I don’t think it’s fair to assume it’s always their fault for choosing the spouse they married. People change and that change isn’t always for the better.
While it’s fair to say they made a bad decision, I think It’s unfair to blame them for it. Occasionally, shite really does happen.
