No one ever talks about 1999 and 2000 when it was 400 degrees on the streets of New Orleans.

It’s no coincidence he just did a tiny desk and bam, hot AF.

I can let you measure temperatures every 10 seconds. You can get all kind of data if you do it for 20 years and you still can’t determine if the climate is heating up or cooling off because it’s not a long enough duration

I could tell you that it's been getting hotter for 20 years at that location. And if we did it at many locations I could tell you that it's been getting hotter in most locations for 20 years. And if we did that for 100 years I could say it's been getting hotter most places for 100 years.

And if you still want to say we don't know a damned thing about "climate" after all that as if you're nailing me on some technicality, well it's your right to be a dumbass.

Climate change hysteria is all about control.
It's all about money. Behind all the bickering of what we all do to the environment is a very costly conversion. And I'd be willing to bet that the loudest lobbyists in Washington are all monetarily involved and/or attached to their proposed "solution" of what we all must do to be better for the environment. That's the part that pisses me off. It's not so much that the Earth isn't warming up. It's that some yoyo's are out there trying to make more money off of it by saying that a natural occurrence is completely our fault and we have to go with their product to solve it.

Please post your argument to the contrary. Something other than "Deboonked".

Are you arguing the Earth doesn't go through temperature cycles? Oh, and your credentials if you please.

We measure the heat different these days. We used to take the temperature when it left the sun. Now we measure the heat when it get to the ground. So now 101° is really like 105 mph

Sure thing, but I asked first. I don’t play the “whatabout” game.

I'm more interested in how this is going to change the world like the commies want us to believe.

People migrate, thats what we have always done. The world will be fine regardless.

Shouldn’t we be seeing record high temps year after year? Here’s the record high temps by decade for Lafayette, LA. Click on this link and change the city to your location, then scroll to the bottom of the page and post a pic of the record high temp days per decade

I don’t think it’s purely linear year to year

I don’t think record high days are the best way to measure

The deeper you get into number of years tracked, in theory your new record highs should dramatically fall with the much larger sample size…. Unless you are actively moving that direction overall

The reality is we have no where near enough data to determine global warming or cooling.

The climate changes and has since the earth has been in existence. To think humans can do things to change it back is laughable. Could we do better at protecting the environment, absolutely.

Most of the data the MSM is using now for these “record” temps only goes back to 1979.

How much specifically? If you can make this claim, surely you have all the data to precisely attribute a % of what humans have contributed and what amount of tax dollars it will take to reduce it.

Oh wait. You don’t. You just spout off bullshite talking points like a good commie lib

A lot of people mistake global warming to mean the average temperature is going up. All it really means is that the temperature is above what it would be if not for human interference. We are actually in a cooling cycle right now so the temps should be lower than they were in the past but due to the ~1° C increase caused by humans we are slightly above.

Think about how much the weather fluctuates in general, 1° C is nothing on an average day fluctuation, it's the fact that it causes already hot days to be hotter that will eventually start to cause problems.

Humans are very resourceful though and will adapt to any new challenges thrown at us even if some populations do suffer.

Major Portion? We have contributed but it is just a small dot on the overall temperature variations on earth

If you think of earth as a “closed system” ( which is it within the atmosphere) , and you consider that there are over a billion vehicles in the whole: then at some point will reach an unhealthy threshold of carbon monoxide within the atmosphere.

Except plants consume all of the carbon monoxide and replace it with oxygen..
