For a truly airborne virus, which is what Dr. F is now suggesting, a mask (other than a properly fitted N95) is pointless.
If all is what you suggest, then masks help to a degree...depending on the mask (and how it is worn).

Play devils advocate here.. just for Kicks. Have they given guidelines for when people can stop wearing masks? Remember the whole flatten curve, etc. goalpost moving is leading to no trust. Some knew when the government was given power to clamp down it would take an act of God to get them to turn loose. Yet we just want to keep giving them power to tell us what to do without good reason. Research the Philippines and masks.... they have had the most compliance (forced) yet are having a resurgence and are now facing flu season with a population with immune systems that haven’t been naturally acclimated. Masks aren’t doing anything but causing another point of division in the population.

Number 1: 150,000 people have not died because of Wuhan Flu. Maybe half that total have.
Number 2: Let’s assume that the 150k were true, the mortality rate for it is less than that of the average flu year (0.05%) and we’ve had a flu vaccine for decades. We’ve had a pneumonia vaccine as well and the mortality rate for that is anywhere between 5-10% in a given year.
Number 3. Tens of thousands of people will die and hundreds of thousands will be in physical pain because they can’t get preventative exams and treatments done because the dumbasses at the CDC and WHO have declared Wuhan Flu patients the only medical priority on this planet right now.
And lastly, since you care about the spread of diseases so much, pray tell what should we do about people with AIDS and HIV in our society. There are only two ways that adults spread it to one another and it’s entirely preventable and doesn’t require any behavioral modification for those who don’t have it.
Or you could have just said you are an idiotic a-hole who doesn’t know what you’re talking about and let the people with IQs north of room temperature participate in this discussion.
