Adidam would not be the least smidgeon surprised. The Dharma of death and dying refers to the transition back into the vibration levels corresponding to blue, red and yellow after the refreshment in the divine light, or something you'd call hell. Each of those colors contains countless worlds and beings. Some with high practice. Some Klingons.

Right. But detecting a signal signifies a higher intelligence like humans posses. Do you think that they would be religious, and if so would it mirror the major religions here on Earth. If either the weren’t religious or their religion was radically different, what does that mean?

To intelligent people, religion is basically tales told theough spoken word.

I'd bet alien life forms would have similar tales of those before who are thought to have been successful in helping their society.

If we detect a signal from 1000 light years away does the concept of sin for instance still hold true there.

Um, most of the things we think of as "sin" are pretty much viewed as bad by everyone but sociopaths, so an alien signal isn't going to be a green light to go around rapin' and whatnot.

I think fundamentalist Texas Baptists and radical muslims are the only people who get scared of using science for anything besides making bombs like god wants.

Agreed. I only had to give the Scientologist $500,000 to learn that.

Oh so like there was other Jesuses?

So what does that make God?

Did a different alien race even need a Jesus?

If God made us in His image, is he human over alien

I'm genuinely curious as to what devout religious people believe with regards to alien species/life in other galaxies.

Did God send a cockroach version of JC to the cockroach planet? Did God send a blue blob version of JC to the blue blob planet? Did he give them free will, yet their species are complete shitshows to each other like we are here on Earth?

Is he watching over all of them as intensely as he is supposedly watching over us?

If we're "made in his image", did he make aliens in his image too?

What about A.I.? What about that? Is he gonna stop that from happening? Oh wait....he gave us free will.

So when A.I. takes over, and the human race is wiped out, there will no longer be any devout followers....

You stole my thought and made a shitty thread? There’s a reason I didn’t do it myself.

Anyone who would need to question their religious beliefs would be misunderstanding the entire point of their religion.

Let’s assume SETI or whomever picks up an alien signal and proves that life is not unique to planet Earth. For those that are religious would that cause you to rethink your beliefs?

No. I don't associate both the same. Religion is what it is. I believe in God, but other religions believe in God's with a different name and different teachings. While this world is diverse, all religions seem to have a version of a creator. It seems to be Earthly idea. That's fine. I also know that there is waaaaay too much of space and there likely are other species. I believe in religion, but know that there is no way in hell Earth is the only life

f you opened God's word and realized end time prophecy after end time prophecy was coming to fruition, would you rethink any doubts you have? No.

The Bible is God's record of His relationship with humanity. If He has relationships with other beings elsewhere that is His right and not for me to question.

I think there is an ultimate creator. To think he just created us is nuts. I also think science/evolution goes well with religion if you’re open to interpretation.
