Same spot, it’s in a near perfect location.

There was talk many, many years ago. before most of you were born, to build an airport in the middle of Lake Pontchartrain. They would have dredged the lake to build the land needed just like what was done for Lakefront Airport. I'm not saying that's what they should do because in reality the politics and greed for such a project, plus years of feasabilty studies, would probably never get off the ground. The way things are done here, they'd first build the stadium out in the lake and then start plans for adding roads to get to the stadium, just like they did with that last airport.

I was going to say Raceland, but I can get on board with this as well.

I had a rough time sophomore year at LSU in Nola Mardi Gras. I was staying at an apartment near Tulane and was in the French Quarter. It was 7 AM when I was walking home. Tired, drunk.

I stopped a city bus and they wouldn't let me on because I didn't have a $1.25 to ride in cash. This was 2013. I guess either the streetcars don't run then or I was too drunk to realize they do. I ended up knocking on some girls door on St Charles next to that traffic circle with statue on St Charles near CBD. The girl freaked out and ran the red light when I did. Took me a long time to make that walk.

The best thing about the dome is its location in proximity to the quarter.

Moving it out of downtown area would be dumb.

The best location would probably be at a site on the river, walking distance to the FQ.

Surely you can’t be serious, but I will bite.

If in Raceland, it will go right next to US 90 in between the Sugar Mill and the interstate with a retractable roof stadium that is open during grinding season only. People would come just for the aroma of the place.

At least when we say our team stinks, we mean it figuratively too.

On the bank of the Mississippi River within walking distance to downtown with a connection to hotel and convention center.

It’d have suites that overlook the river with balcony’s

Arguably the greatest stadium ever built when you consider when it was built and how it remains viable today. The foresight from its architects is akin to the foresight that America's founding fathers had.

Well said.
