Only argument would be if they had a right to stop him. Then any evidence they got out of the stop could be inadmissible. Both cops stated a reason though sooooo....
That’s where I was going with my previous statement. They claim that is the reason for the stop but neither one did even the most basic of police work to underpin their reason for stopping him. It would be different had one cop followed through with routine procedure but two cops on the same stretch of Highway ignoring procedure involving the same suspect gives his defense a great argument that the stop was illegal and the evidence is inadmissible.

That’s amazing. How on earth did that but not get out?
The investigation wasn't as bumbling as most thought...

Again....
Do they have to do this to make it a legal stop?

Surviving roommate saw the killer but didn’t call 911 until several hours later? I’m guessing she thought he was a party goer/friend of a friend at the time…who knows.
I could see that being the case w/how many college kids lived there.
One year while I was in school I lived w/3 other guys and it rather quickly became a party house. It was pretty common for me to see randos there all the time be it one of my roommates friends or GFs or whatever. I ended up moving out once summer hit b/c it got so bad that there were multiple occasions I came home to full on ragers w/none of my roommates even there to hold down the fort.
If their place was a bit of a party hub its possible the girl who saw him simply assumed he was there w/to hang out w/a roommate or maybe even thought it was a dealer for Adderall or who knows what else.

I’m still reading the affidavit but i can’t understand why this Dylan girl or “DM” didn’t call 911 immediately. I understand everyone likely would have died anyway. I’m not saying she should have played hero. But why didn’t she call after she locked herself in her bedroom?

Obviously. But these are college kids. They had friends on scene before the police got there. How on earth did that not get out?

Oh yeah if that's where it was it's 100% game set match. Only possible way to explain that is if it was in the victims pocket which I'm going to assume is not the case.

I think I’m probably getting too far off in the weeds here for something that’s not going to have a significant impact anyway. DNA evidence is more than enough to convict this guy.

Panic and shock?

That will be interesting testimony to hear though I’m not sure it would make a difference. Maybe out of fear for her life, was she intoxicated, did she later pass out after seeing the perp?

I mean the guy just killed 4 people with a knife and he was wearing a mask he had to have been full of blood. There’s no way you could mistake him as just a random partier coming through the house

Especially if he walked close enough to her for her to recognize that he had bushy eyebrows. Like someone else said, I'm sure they were all dead at that point, but still. Girl doesn't call police, and then what, 7 hours passes before the 911 call is made? There's no way she was in her right state of mind.
Also, it's always been reported that the two surviving roommates were on the bottom floor, but clearly one was on the second floor. Talk about lucky.

Especially seeing as she was petrified by fear and locked herself in her room. I really don’t understand the lack of an immediate 911 call.

According to the affidavit, Kohberger's phone was near the home 12+ times leading up to the murder date.
Maybe he was the stalker that was being talked about...and the police shot it down quickly to avoid him catching on.
ETA - not that they knew exactly who the suspect was yet when they shot it down...

But hasn’t this girl and the other survivor always been the biggest question marks about this case? How were they missed or spared when the others died? Why did they wait till 10 am or later to call the police? Why were other friends called over before the police? Now we know she yelled stfu to the killer and even encountered him which makes all of the previous questions even more interesting.

Yep stalked them several times prior to the murders and sounds like he kind of stalked the house the night of the murders, I guess waiting for it to go dark like has been rumored?
Curious to hear motives for the killings.

Reading through this now.
Looks like my sauce's sauce's sauce was legit.
This guy is done, it's over. They have enough to convict him 10x over.

I hope Kohberger shite himself when he realized he didn't have the sheath.
The fricker had to have known it was only a matter of time before he was caught at that point.

I pray he pleads guilty with a full confession so we don’t have to wait 2 years for this story.
