Not everyone can handle talking to the police.
I was in a car with my friend and he was pulled over. He said the stupidest shite. I was sitting there thinking
A simple stop lasted 20 min because he kept talking gibberish. They want you to talk.
He kind of reminds me of Jake Gyllenhaal's character in Nightcrawler.

Never try to talk your way out of any form of general driving violation. Yes, even if you know yourself to not be at fault. Simply remind yourself of the countless times you've been guilty and weren't stopped.

My husband is CEO of a privately owned, multi-state automotive dealership group. You wouldn’t be surprised by this if you knew how often dealerships get calls from police asking for info to help identify make/model/year of cars. Even when body style are similar, there are many differences between make/models/years that people familiar with vehicles can spot easily. Hell, one department brought an entire binder of basically vehicle mugshots to a dealership for help getting more specific info on multiple crimes.

With the gag order being issued by the judge its just a matter of time before this thread gets wacked.

I’ve never called for someone to be banned and I don’t think I’ve ever requested an admin for anything but that guy can get banned for all I care. He’s TERRIBLE.

I know Idaho has some very strict laws about what can be released prior to a suspect being formally arraigned in court but has a more specific gag order been issued beyond that?

Plane landed in Pullman-Moscow airport. Given how small the plane is and the duration of the flight, I can't help but wonder what small-talk, if any, took place between the defendant and the accompanying officers. Can he take a nap? Would the allow him? Did he eat or was he given water? Was his attorney/public defender with him on the flight?

Looking for scars on hands maybe?
Trooper and the County guy had to be on full alert in that case. Had to at least be expecting that he might pull a gun.
ETA: not they aren't always, but you'd have to think their awareness was raised.

***POSSIBLE UPDATE ALERT ***
Ok, just heard something interesting, and if true
This will likely come out once the arrest warrant is unsealed:
The murderer's knife sheath was found under Ethan's (male victim) body. This is how the DNA was obtained.
Ethan's legs were sliced all the way down to the hamstring.
One of female victims was stabbed 54 times and her face was beaten so badly that every bone in her face was broken, she was unrecognizable. (I assume this is Kaylee).
One of the surviving roommates came upstairs after hearing loud noises and yelled at the murderer (who she mistook for Ethan) to "shut the frick up". This could be the reason the murderer left in a haste and forgot to grab the knife sheath. Could have been spooked by an unexpected encounter with the roommate.
The white elantra was only identified because a neighbor's cat set off a Ring doorbell camera at the time the murderer was fleeing the scene.
Agents surveilled his parents house for 4 days posing as garbage men, went through the family's garbage to obtain Bryan's DNA for comparison to the DNA found on the knife sheath.

There are license plate cameras on all major roads tracking you. Everyone commits a traffic violations constantly. It’s very easy for law enforcement to track you and pull you over for a traffic violation.

ETA - this just really shines a light on the great police work that went into catching this man. I'm in law enforcement and I legitimately have no idea how they determined with 100% certainty that they were looking for a white Elantra from the videos I've seen, when the profile of that car is so non-descript it could've been several different makes and models.
They originally said they were looking for a 2011-2013 model, but the alleged killer’s car is a 2015. Could have been a ploy to throw this specific guy off his game.

And her dad knows this thus the reason this psycho has a vest on whenever they move him. As I've stated, I'd find a way to get to him. Would be my life mission moving forward. I would not be able to handle that brutality happening to my child. He'd be my target forever.
