Pretty lucky guess picking The Pocono’s.

Still, fry his arse.

That he was “pulled” over randomly for “falling too closely” and no tickets given?

Seems far fetched.

I don’t share his mother’s opinion, but I don’t think having a parent that is opposed to the death penalty is a contributing factor to a person becoming a sociopathic murderer.

Judge just issued a gag order

Defense, police/investigators, prosecution, etc cannot discuss any aspect of this case publicly

Don’t think there has been any word on if the affidavit will remain sealed once back in Idaho. As of now, should be public as soon as he lands in Idaho and issued the warrant for his arrest

That’s really gonna make the Reddit detectives angry, but I guess it makes sense for jury selection, right?

I see it all the time. Kids leaving summer jobs going home, parents fly in and take the trip with them. Its common.

Yeah, I would expect to see it more over the summer, if they wanted the car for him while he was home all summer. Or I could see it after your last semester and moving home.

But this was just winter break. He just finished his first semester. It’s weird to me that his dad would buy a plane ticket and fly to Idaho. They would both drive his car over 2500 miles over 4 days from Idaho, to PA—literally opposite ends of the US. Spend at least $200 in gas, plus food and hotels. Why? He just has to be right back in Washington in school by January 9th, and presumably he needs his car back January 9th. So why drive it all the way across the country for winter break only to have to turn around and drive it right back (and spend gas, food hotel again for 4 days back).

Doesn’t it seem easier to just fly home round trip for Christmas?

I think he wanted to get the Elantra out of town. If I’m his dad, and have no idea what is going on, I’m like why exactly are we driving your car across the US for you to be home for winter break? How does the dad not know this logistically and economically doesn’t make sense?

Depends on the situation… my kid got a dog in college and works remotely so she comes in for a few weeks over the holiday break.

The only thing that comes to mind is how much were plane tickets from the nearest airport to where he was in Idaho to Pennsylvania (I would guess he'd fly into either Philly or Pittsburgh depending on where he lived).

As someone who has spent time in the Idaho-Montana-Dakotas area, I know plane ticket prices can be ridiculous. The closest major airport to Moscow is, I believe, Boise. I looked at tickets to fly out there last summer, and they were similar in price to flying to Cairo, Egypt (at least from Atlanta International).

And since Covid flying is a nightmare. I flew quite a bit in December because of time reasons, but if I had more time I would've driven around more. In this day and age I always try to drive somewhere if feasible, even if it's a long ride.

Not saying that what they did made sense, or that your questions are invalid. Actually I agree with you, that is a bit strange in my opinion too. I'm just spitballing at some possible motives besides trying to help his son cover up the crimes for why they chose to drive instead of fly.

Have there been any reports as to why the dad flew to Washington to drive his son’s car all the way back to PA?
Why didn’t the son just fly round trip home for the holiday?
no idea what sort of bullshite story he fed the old man, but he was actually using him for cover during the drive to PA. I’d imagine Bryan’s plan was to get that Hyundai the frick out of the Palouse, then destroy/abandon it once he was back east.

Got a buddy of mine who flew to Illinois to drive with his kid down to Texas for winter break. They'll drive right back too. Kid has a dog though, but it's not totally insane. Good time to spend together.

how nervous was this dude when he was pulled over twice in Indiana...authorities had announced on Dec 7 that they were looking for the White Elantra and he gets pulled over twice on Dec 15...heart must have dropped
after watching that video, Im all but certain that both traffic stops in Indiana were planned in advance, coordinated and carried out by federal agents.
that look on Bryan’s face isn’t fear, it’s the realization that the FBI is simply toying with him at this point. it’s over for this subhuman pos and he knows it.

So they planned 2 traffic stops in Indiana, 15 days before they decide to arrest a man they say killed 4 people in cold blood? Come the frick on.

Right. So he realized the FBI was toying with him and doesn’t run anywhere but to his parents??

Let’s be real. Dad planned to fly out and ride home with his son on a long road trip. Family lives in a gated community and Bryan probably felt he got away with it cause they weren’t even looking for his year of Elantra.
Cops took a few days to secure an out of State warrant and were monitoring his movements in a secured fashion at the house.

He looks more like the male version of a Karen in those pictures to me. Wondering, almost offended, that he was pulled over.

Anyone see a healing cut/brush burn on his knuckle and maybe a healing laceration clon the side of wrist in the photo in the article with him and his dad or is it just grainy?? A stretch??

They were killed on Nov 13. The pullover was Dec 15, that’s a good month afterward. I would think that most cuts and bruises would heal by then. The arrest photos are 2 more weeks later, so anything on his hands would probably be healed by the pullover photos if it was something new.

No he wasn't. As you can see if you read through the thread, which you probably didn't, lots of people on this board have flown to their kids and drove home with him. This trip was planned well before the murders. Why do you think that destroying it or abandoning it would be his answer. Way more suspicious that the cops find a white elentra registered 7 miles from the murder but found burned 2500 miles away.

There’s an airport in between Moscow and Pullman and then Spokane is the next closest and much larger.

If I’m not mistaken, he was pulled over twice for following too close but not ticketed. Not sure if he was ticketed the first time. If not, they could have been f’n with this guy to see his response. He had to be freaking out. Even the chit chat on the body cam sounded too much like it was on purpose.
