I assume one of the first things he did when left was discard his clothing and wipe down the car thoroughly.

That video confirms this layout with the way Dylans room entrance is in the foyer for the stairs upstairs. And is straight across from the kitchen.

So he had to go right by her room going upstairs, then again to xana's room, and again leaving through the kitchen. (Assuming chicken is right and he killed the girls upstairs first, which I agree with)

He either didn't think there was anyone in there, or he was only targeting certain ones. Maybe he did for sure have something against Maddie and Xana from a restaurant encounter, etc..

ETA: I don't see how he walks towards Dylan, through that foyer and out the kitchen door without seeing her if she is standing in her doorway frozen watching him. He would have been less than 2 feet from her.

Maybe this is why the police thought it was targeted, cause he basically walks right by Dylan and doesn't harm her.

He can wipe down and vacuum all he wants but they never get it all. There's always a stragler. Always. He may think he got it all but chances high he didn't. There going to take his vacuum and go to thru the washer and dryer looking for evidence.

And considering he drove his own car multiple times with his cell phone and left a sheath behind at the crime scene i won't assume this guy did anything at this point. He's proven to be a pos idiot.

He left the knife scabbard.

If he handled it without gloves or it brushed against his skin, they may have gotten dna off of it. Stupid to leave anything behind.

That definitely puts it in perspective of how close he and Dylan actually were. If she's in her doorway and he's coming down those steps thats pretty close. Is knife in hand? Can she see it? We know he can't sheath it. its also assumed that its never pitch black in there because they have fairy lights everywhere. Even in the tiktok video you can see the fairy lights on.

His DNA was on the button of the sheath. That's in the affidavit

They did. It's in the affidavit.

It’s classic for these type of killers to think they will get away with it because they are complete narcissists/sociopaths and think they are smarter than the cops. Obviously they are not and eventually get caught but it’s a common trait.

Bundy- represented himself and thought he would be free up until his execution.
BTK- taunted cops all the time and got himself caught by asking them if a disk could be traced.
Zodiac- (never caught)- taunted cops for years.

Watch a show on Netflix called “Mindhunters”. It’s about the way the FBI profiling system came about. Very interesting show.

Familial DNA is a game changer. A lot of cold cases are being solved with this now.

Yeah, that's Xana (playing dylan) coming out of the kitchen into the foyer. That's Dylans bedroom door on the left closed. If she is standing there, how the frick does he walk from xana's room toward her and into the kitchen before leaving through kitchen sliding door without him seeing her... unless she is peeking through a cracked door or something.

If they found the sheath, they probably would have checked it for DNA, and if DNA was found, mentioned it in the arrest affidavit. Didja see it mentioned when you read the affidavit?

Means nothing, Gacy said almost the exact same thing when he was arrested.

"Who else do you have in the station?"

It's a ploy to plant seeds of potential reasonable doubt, he didn't know what was in the affidavit until last night at the absolute earliest.

Good Point. He studied and was fascinated by the criminals so it seems he wold know this ploy.

Here is what is funny about him being a Criminology PHD student. He was studying criminals who were caught ... that is not the criminals you want to emulate.

so with one of their phones on tiktok at 4:12am and the police saying the murders were before 4:25am, are we to believe that this dude did all of this killing in 13 minutes all while in complete darkness and leaving no blood trail from his shoes? Oh and one of the surviving roommates sees killer in house after hearing thuds and crying, but doesn't think to go check on her friends. She is so scared that she locks herself in her room until the next day never thinking to call police or even text/call someone else outside the house to come over?
lots of questions that hopefully will be answered in the future.

Jeesh, they would of been close enough to high five each other. My best guess is that he was done and killed who he intended to kill and was either satisfied or exhausted or something like that but clearly didn't see her as a threat.

Are we sure about the lighting situation? There was enough lighting for Dylan to see him and make some identifying comments.
Additionally, there was a footprint found.

Yep, they were REALLY close. She could have only had door cracked, but still. That's crazy.

It will be interesting if they find a receipt showing when he purchased the K-bar.

Have to wonder if he was stupid/arrogant enough to use his credit card.

One of these occasions, on August 21,2022, the 8458 Phone utilized cellular resources
providing coverage to the King Road Residence from approximately 10:34 p.m. to 11:35 p.m. At
approximately I 1:37 p.m., Kohberger was stopped by Latah County Sheriffs Deputy CPL Duke,
as mentioned above.

If he was keyed in on someone at this house in August then he stalked them a long time. Also, he just moved to the area earlier that summer so some incident really got to him.

Did not read the affidavit.

Just heard on tv the sheath was left and was my first thought it was the likely source of the dna transfer.
