Kohberger is on notice. Going to get some .556 lethally injected into his cranium.

This bullshite always seemed like a ridiculous claim.

Just use fentanyl. It's pennies a dose and apparently everywhere.
The person dying would have a better time too. Seems more humane, IMHO.

It’s how I would want to go. Hanging is terrible. Standing with a blindfold and then having bullets hit your chest seems ideal if you gotta do it.

Which is why they don't use it. It has to cost thousands of dollars so they can grift the tax payers.

That last 5 or 10 seconds of brain activity would be a little strange though.

There's stories from the French Revolution where the executioner will lift up the executed's head and it's still making faces a minute or two after death with eyes moving and everything.

I'm surprised some enterprising conservatives with pharma experience haven't started a company that only manufactures lethal injection drugs to sell to death penalty states at an outrageous markup. I guess maybe economies of scale would still be unfavorable.

Copy cat of Utah law.
ksl.com

The last American executed by firing squad was in Utah in 2010.

the drugs used for in the lethal injection cocktail, sodium thiopental, pancuronium bromide, and potassium chloride have been off patent for decades and are cheap as dirt to make.... there's no money to be made from being yet another generic drug company to make these meds

I think they should bring back public guillotining in the town square. Has a nice deterrent effect.

Yeah but the problem is that the companies that make them refuse to sell them to the prison system because they don't want to take the PR hit of participating in the death penalty. That's why there is a "shortage" and why states like Idaho are threatening to bring back the firing squad. A new company could charge an outrageous amount based on market dynamics.
