These two need to be answered together with some context.
For those with criminal history, I have no problem with them being rounded up and removed.
Our immigration laws are fundamentally broken. In many ways the laws as they stand encourage people to break them, so I'm not outraged when they do. On the other hand, what Biden did was exploit the broken system. So for your amnesty question it would be hard to say yes full stop, because all it does is encourage the situation to be repeated in the future.
Rand Paul has suggested some temporary amnesty like solutions that I think are a good compromise if it is paired with permanent border security and policy/regulatory changes to curtail some of the fraud and abuse we see these days.
What I hate is the indiscriminate enforcement, and erosion of the removal proceedings procedure that has happened the last 18 months. I had no issues with Trump 1.0's enforcement policies, but this time around it has gone overboard IMO. For what hasn't been litigated yet in the circuits, like a lot of the BIA precedential decisions, a Democrat AG can undo with a stroke of a pen, and it will be a mass amnesty.
So in summation, you don't really have a solution to illegals that don't fall into the "criminal" category. You could've saved us all some time and said from the jump that you don't like mass deportations because you favor amnesty. You tried to shift the conversation to H1B's and everything else under the sun when the reality is, you favor amnesty.

Correct, and furthermore, the government doesn't do "temporary" very well. Everyone knows what "temporary" amnesty would end up as.

And here’s the rest of the story… send him packing.
From the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office:
“One individual who has received significant attention on social media is 19-year-old Omar Monzon-Vasquez Anderson, an illegal alien from Guatemala. According to ICE, Monzon unlawfully entered the United States in 2020 with his mother and was released pending immigration proceedings.
On July 27, 2026, ICE states that Monzon previously attempted to purchase a rifle in West Monroe. Federal authorities allege that, as an individual unlawfully present in the United States, he is prohibited from possessing a firearm.
ICE further alleges that Monzon falsely represented himself as a United States citizen during the attempted purchase, a violation of 18 U.S.C. § 911. These allegations constitute federal felony offenses and are being handled through the federal judicial process.”
Although this isn’t the reason he was detained, I’m glad ICE kept investigating. If you aren’t a citizen, don’t do things that will get you deported. Of course his mom still claims he came here with her through the legal asylum process through Arizona, but she better be able to prove that. That doesn’t matter at this point, though.

They ran the “get White women so outraged that they will go viral with their toxic empathy” card & it blew up right in their leftist faces. As usual.

You spent a whole day crying about this and blaming ICE. Once again, after the facts come out, we find out the activist lied and you and other posters sucked it down as the truth without any critical thinking. You people never learn….. wait for the facts and don’t trust activists with their sob stories.

I asked if what they said were true, what’s your opinions of it. I never once acted like I knew facts about what happened. I shared what the Mayor said and what started popping up on news pages. You got in your feelings, not me.
I also said if more info comes out I’ll share it. And I did. frick off pussy.

Thanks for proving you are a low IQ emotional lil bitch. You let the Monroe AWFLs pull you around by the nose. I hope you and the other “conservatives” who fell for this hoax learned your lesson. These activist use ignorant, emotional people like you and other white women to drum up hate against ICE so they can achieve their political goals

Came here to post this. I wonder if Ellis feels foolish for his facebook post that he wrote before the facts came out. I like Ellis, but I felt like his post was unnecessary

It won't matter to the indoctrinated. They won't care that the facts didn't support the narrative. Hell, I was one of the first reponses in the thread and got a handful of downvotes from people for saying let's wait until the facts come out.

I said it before and I’ll say it again, it’s crazy the following Amber has in the area.
