Also convenient how they never stop white people for immigration confirmations.
it’s not convenient, it is efficient

These two need to be answered together with some context.

For those with criminal history, I have no problem with them being rounded up and removed.

Our immigration laws are fundamentally broken. In many ways the laws as they stand encourage people to break them, so I'm not outraged when they do. On the other hand, what Biden did was exploit the broken system. So for your amnesty question it would be hard to say yes full stop, because all it does is encourage the situation to be repeated in the future.

Rand Paul has suggested some temporary amnesty like solutions that I think are a good compromise if it is paired with permanent border security and policy/regulatory changes to curtail some of the fraud and abuse we see these days.

What I hate is the indiscriminate enforcement, and erosion of the removal proceedings procedure that has happened the last 18 months. I had no issues with Trump 1.0's enforcement policies, but this time around it has gone overboard IMO. For what hasn't been litigated yet in the circuits, like a lot of the BIA precedential decisions, a Democrat AG can undo with a stroke of a pen, and it will be a mass amnesty.

So in summation, you don't really have a solution to illegals that don't fall into the "criminal" category. You could've saved us all some time and said from the jump that you don't like mass deportations because you favor amnesty. You tried to shift the conversation to H1B's and everything else under the sun when the reality is, you favor amnesty.

I don’t know how you reconcile these two positions.

Correct, and furthermore, the government doesn't do "temporary" very well. Everyone knows what "temporary" amnesty would end up as.
