Wasn't it also daylight when by he was streaming for Harvey.

The uncertainty of what is going on around you in the dark of a night time landfall makes a hurricane so much scarier

Pray they are wrong. Saw similar projections for Lake Charles with and it didn't happen. All storms are different.

Morning everybody. Positive thoughts to our Florida peeps that they will be OK. Turned on the weather channel to mix it up, forgot these m’fers are woke, ugly and obnoxious. Back to Fox weather.

Not sure you want to die on this hill.

I'm not dying on any hill to say that the storm structure has peaked of late. It's something you can see on satellite and radar. It has rapidly intensified, but it's not currently rapidly intensifying. It may resume, we'll see, but it's not currently doing so.

Recon is in there now and this last pass shows hardly any drop in central pressure over the last 2 hours.

The storm is awful, and 155mph ain't much different than 156mph, but we don't have to wish it there when we can see the thing right in front of us.

OK I thought the infamous blue shed was during the day. Was that Harvey?

I was flying to CA that day so didn't remember it too much. Remember being glad I connected in Dallas through AA instead of United in Houston.

I was supposed to go the day before but they wanted to reduce plane capacity and offered some us a $1000 voucher. Normal flights out of LC resumed once they realized it wasn't going to affect LC initially.

West side looking tougher than the east. Not normal but could but key in having less damage than possible.

okay, real question. I got people in zephyrhills, about 30 miles almost straight NE of tampa, so that NW quadrant looks to go right through them. how bad are they fricked? they've got plenty of food/water/booze and a generator on 10ish acres with horses.

You can't be serious trying to call out people. Your post last night...

Winds are 50. Storm surge is tonight. I'm thinking get the frick in the car and drive east. I know the wind is a danger.

I was up at 3 and it was at 120 mph. I get back up at 7 and this thing has turned into a monster 155 mph storm. Mother Nature is truly undefeated. Amazing.
