My buddy coming back to West Palm from Tallahassee just videoed the gridlock for miles on I-75/Turnpike headed north. Yikes

75 and 4 aren't fun on the best of days. Staying away from those now.

Why go north? Why not just go east?

Was GFS or Euro more accurate early on for this one?

That's my plan if it stays too close to me for comfort.

It's a nightmare on sunny with no cloud coverage days.

TWC …. I seem to detect a feeling of disappointment there…due to Ian may weaken before landfall.
They’ve got the T&A girl in Key West, Cantore in Clearwater, the Hurricane Diva (Abrams) in the TWC studio, and the fake wind actor (Seidel) in Apalachicola.
So… they’ve got us covered… PLUS….. Dr. Hurricane pops in to stoke the fear level.

It can also be a place to ice down foods that can spoil with a built in drain.

Right now, it is off/on all the way to Jorts Vegas on I-75. I-4 is a bear every day, but usually clears by 7:00.
Zones A, B, and C are mandatory evac in the morning, so some folks may beat the traffic by leaving tonight. I bet some drive to I-95, then go N 5 miles, to Buc ees, and enjoy some brisket.
There are then some <$100 hotels 10 miles north of that.
