Welcome to traffic hell for the morning commute. Would be worse if it was west bound I suppose. WAFB

Even more shocking than the location is that it involves 18 Wheelers. Wonder which shyster got there first to solicit victims.

Does anyone else find it odd that there are weekly major wrecks there and they usually involve at least one fatality? Seems like they are always involving 18 wheelers as well.

“If you get into a wreck with one of these, call me.
They won’t be so big after I’m through with them.”

Eastbound is a ghost town in the morning.

I-10E is closed at O'neal. Google maps says it will open at 1 pm. It looks like they are making people exit, then get back on at the O'neal exit.

We’re headed to Oxford. Good thing I was paying attention to the i12 closed at O’Neal signs. Husband would have kept right in going

Checked here and confirmed closed and then opened Waze. No time lost for us.

I go I12 E every morning and usually nothing - this was at 6:30 and it was already backed up past Millerville so I can only imagine how bad it is now.

Only people on 12E in the morning for my commute are slow asses who go 60 and crazy 18 wheelers or others that go 75-80+. No in-between no happy medium.

It was a mess last night when I passed by on the westbound side. Looked like God smashed multiple trucks together.

Not surprised it is taking this long to clear

The state police should be pulled out of the french quarter and placed back onto the state highways.

You can thank JBE for allowing this carnage to continue on the interstates.

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - A portion of I-12 E was closed Thursday morning following a wreck involving multiple 18-wheelers.

The wreck occurred Wednesday night around 11:30 p.m. on I-12 between the on-ramp and off-ramp at O’Neal Lane. A small portion of I-12 E is closed between the ramps. Drivers are advised to get off the interstate at O’Neal Lane and are able to get back on at O’Neal Lane.

According to a spokesperson with the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened when an 18-wheeler struck a second 18-wheeler that was stopped behind two vehicles in traffic, causing a chain reaction.

How does any traffic on I-12 at ONeal Lane come to a stop dead at midnight? WTF were the two cars stopped for?

Yep. State Police are covering for NOPD's incompetance while letting other parts of the state suffer. Troop A is almost constantly chasing wrecks, yet we have Troopers chilling on Bourbon because NOPD can't get their head out of their arse.

I would love to rub it in but he's touchy and it’s nkt really becoming lol. This is the second time in a few weeks that we avoid havoc from me paying attention to the electronic signs and being able to reroute. Last time was after the Florida game and the damn basin bridge.

I truly believe if troopers were on the interstates, rather than the FQ, they can get some of these idiots off the roads and reduce these 18 wheeler wrecks.
