What if the dude behind you ordered a lot of expensive shite? Makes no sense.

I'd be pissed if someone picked up my $2 small coffee and I got pressured into "reciprocating" by buying some guys frappuccino and blueberry muffin

I worked at a Starbucks a few years back. Whenever that would happen and the person behind had some 18 dollar order, I'd just tell the car at the window they won at Starbucks and to move on. Two dollar coffee guy isn't buying four giant frappucinos.

That doesn't seen logistical...how would you know how much the person behind you is buying to be able to pay for it? Wait while they order...? Seems goofy

It happens in stacked up lines, not when just one or two people are trickling through. The person at the register knows what the car behind you has, and can pass along that information if you want to know before buying the car behind's diabetic comas.

I pay .54 cents for my coffee at starbucks. No way I'm dropping $7 for the fatty behind me. DWI.

And with disgusting overly roasted coffee too. I understand why their top selling drinks are loaded with sugar and cream.

I think I payed $1 for their reusable cup, and they only charge 54 cents for refills. I only drink black dark roast coffee, fwiw.

Chances are the person behind you was a woman fat arse that ordered the buffet. Good move, just take your free drink and go.

This. Lets say you order a $7 combo meal and the person/persons behind you ring up $20 in food. Why the frick should I pay $20 for my combo meal.

You pay the $7 like you would have anyway...Then they apply your $7 to their order..
