Nice little town, the dirt/rocks come rolling down during a heavy rain.

Great hiking around there, Pikes Peak close and just an overall great little place to spend some time.

In Louisiana, we call that a Cajun dozen.

Those cliff dwellings the Indians lived in were cool. Garden of the Gods was beautiful and we loved seeing Coors Brewery. Two things there that are not tourist attractions but still something to check out was Cheyenne Mountain which houses NORAD and the Supermax Federal Pen in Florence right outside of Canon City which once held John Gotti. From what I hear, the cellblocks are subterranean.

And you think Alabama doesn’t? Christ, I’m not defending Louisiana here, but you’re throwing stones in a glass house buddy

I grew up in Colorado Springs, so am very familiar with the Manitou Springs area. This was 35 years ago, but the city used to have a huge devil worshiping underbelly and they would steal peoples pets to sacrifice.

A chick who I worked with at a movie theater was about 21 and lived there. She just up and disappeared one day. The rumor was she had been sacrificed, but I never believed it.

Maybe it was all an urban myth, but for a 17 year old kid from an upper middle class background it was all very creepy.

Well, look her up. It wouldn’t be hard to find her if she’s alive. I’m betting they sacrificed her. I think you know deep down that they did and you just don’t wanna admit it because you’re scared.

I met a guy from LA a few years ago in a small town by Pagosa Spring I think it was. There was a Cajun restaurant I went into and told the waitress I was skeptical because I knew what the real deal was and had gone to LSU.

From the kitchen I hear Geaux Tigers! The owner was cooking and sounded a bit like coach O. He was from Breaux Bridge.

Had my first Thai food there at Wild Ginger Thai in about 2002. There were three Brits at a nearby table who were just raving about some soup they had.

I asked the waitress what they had. Tom Yum. What? We had never heard of it.

Now I eat it about twice a month or more.

Unfortunately, I only smoked a cigar. My work would not be okay with me smoking a dooby.

Stoneys has a huge LSU presence on game days. I know a lot of LA people who've moved out here, I live in Englewood.

A couple weeks ago I read somewhere a Denver radio station is now getting a feed to the LSU radio network for Tiger games.
