I'm working full time while getting an MBA. Been doing it a year now and am in my last semester. It really isn't that bad...

I'm getting my Masters of Engineering while working full time. It's not bad. Just had twins also. I find it MUCH easier now than when I was in college for undergrad. I have focus and responsibilities.

There's a guy at work. he lives an hour away from where we work. He has a wife and child and just got out of the army about a year ago. He works here for 10-20 hours a week, takes 15-18 credits a semester of nursing, and works 20 hours every weekend on another job. After hearing that, I was once again reminded that i don't have room to talk about anything.

Life is a struggle and perseverance is the greatest victory there is.

And as to venting, go for it. I like to vent. It's healthy. But don't regret anything you've done.

so you work fulltime and go to school full time? are you dumb to not know that would be an extreme schedule?

Do an executive course. That was the best route for me. Yes, losing every other weekend sucks but it is the most manageable.

Sounds like someone isn't cut out to be an OT Baller.

I knocked my grad school out at night in a 3-year span. Sure, it sucked a few night a week, but nothing I would cry about.

I'm sure she sees plenty of her lab partner, Jody.

You should make "not whining like a bitch" a personal goal.

Lots of people got their masters with night classes while working full time, including me. Next semester get smart and don't take a full school load.

As I was scanning through the topics, I saw this thread about grad school. I was pleasantly surprised it wasn't started by volod about Southern graduate school.

Law school isn't hard. Why do you think the job market is saturated with lawyers?

How is that technically even possible? She works 40 hours a week minimum to be qualified as full-time (8 hours per day) and goes to class at minimum 12 hours (to be full time student)?

168 hours per week - 52 hours = 116 hours

116- 6 hours of sleep x 7 days = 74/7 = 10.6 hours

So she has 10.6 hours a day to eat, shower (all included showering), drive, study? Assuming she sleeps for 6 hours everyday, which isn't a lot (basically the threshold for amount of sleep, less than 6 could result in health issues).

The same way people can work 80 hours in a week. It's really not all that hard to accomplish.

I got my masters while working, yeah it can be trying at times when you have a deadline and a paper do, but it's not the end of the world.

Suck it up Sally
