I got my license to drive at 15 in La. and I have done and still do 10&2....

i switch between the 2. 6 when i'm cruising. 12 when i'm being a little more aggressive.

10 and 2 are not recommended anymore. It can actually lead to serious hand and arm injuries if airbags are deployed. Plus with new technology in the steering wheel it makes it even more irrelevant.

People drove millions of stick shifts. Try and do 10-2 on a mountain road or in traffic with a stick. Always was one hand.

Standard is now 9 and 3 because of air bags. Learned that from my kids
