They disconnect the drive shaft. If that’s not an option they have a dolly the back tires ride on. Most tow companies are just rollback wreckers these days…. Not your traditional wrecker truck

They have a pretty good complaint program. You call them up and tell them the issue and then they offer to fight you in their parking lot at night.

Just bravo, that is all.

Cheers.

You do realize it’s not their fault your car is getting towed?

Yes they can tow you if you are parked illegally and apparently some will tow you even if you are legal. But in no way possible does that allow them to even put a small scratch on your vehicle.

If you break the law, fine.

That doesn't give them the right to destroy property.

Most of 'em dont GAS.

No. Predatory towers mostly are using the two wheel tow style trucks with the lift. Not flat beds.
. They grab the vehicle then bring it to a lot. Sometimes they transfer to a flat bed. Never do they disconnect anything. Now when you call and pay for a tow they may take care. Predatory towing is operated almost like repo towing. I and out as fast as possible

Those retards aren’t disconnecting a driveshaft. Have you ever seen the people that drive tow trucks? It’s a jobs program for moderately functioning idiots.

Tow truck drivers are dicks...years ago I had a run in with two of them.

My neighbors car was being repo'ed and the neighbor was giving them the keys but they wanted to act like they were on a tv show.

They decided to go though my yard like a bat outta hell, they get stuck and literally tore the hell out of my yard.

Still stuck and me mad as hell... I like the dumb arse I am go out and slash every one of their tires while my ex-wife calls the police.

A fight ensues and you have my neighbor and me fighting billy bob and his side kick bubba in my front yard. We all get arrested.

Ohh and things that did happen for $1000 Alex

Can I just stick a sign in the ground saying im absolved of responsibilities

If you own the land and declare it No Parking, the land owner isn’t paying to fix your car if a tow truck damages it.

No doubt burned up the entire drivetrain.
I'm not sure why people think that a drivetrain spinning for a few miles to a lot will burn them up.

They are made to spin as we go down the highway.

Just put the vehicle in neutral.

No they don't. In 25 years in the fire dept., I have never seen one driveshaft disconnected.

Extremely rare and mostly for special cases.

This just maximizes income because the can haul one and then tow one with wheels on extended rack.

Terrible advice.
Flat towing is vehicle-specific.
Some need the T-case in Neutral while the transmission remains in gear.
