All the while acting sketchy as frick. Long pauses and hesitations. Saying his name in question form. He was acting exactly how a guy lying about his name would act. I know he's probably been brainwashed to not trust cops but that's his problem, not the cops.

I'm realistic. I don't expect perfection from anyone. But when a cop tells you to do something you do it. Anything less will only escalate things. If a cop is out of line he will answer for it.

That sucks for Patrick. I hope he won that case. If you screw up just say you screwed up.

GTFO with that bullshite. You are saying cops have the right to approach, question, and physically assault people on private property because they dared to question the police officers actions. All this while the subject is answering all of the officer's questions honestly. Why are you having such a hard time admitting this cop fricked up? He absolutely should have done the proper legwork to identify the subject before escalating the situation and he failed to do so. Then he proceeded to lie about it.

I am really starting to believe the police are milking the "fear for their life" excuse, especially in situations like this where they are 100% the instigators in the situation.

That's bogus nonsense. That cop deserves to lose his job, and Patrick should sue.

It really doesn't matter how you interpret his answers watching it on camera afterwards. He answered every question asked honestly.

Who are you claiming did the brainwashing? He answered the cops questions honestly and caught a bullshite charge and 2 tazer prongs in his arse for the trouble.

bullshite. The kid identified who he was. The cops just assumed he was lying and was the guilty party. They never even asked for a fricking ID. Kindly go frick yourself.

I never said that.

I guess, technically, he was honest. But his behavior was very erratic and non-compliant.

He approached the wrong guy, no doubt. He mistakenly said he asked for his ID. That was after the fact though and had no bearing on the actual incident.

I don't know what legwork was done before the video starts. He might have had enough information to have a conversation with the guy. He could have been told to talk to that specific person. I don't know. We don't know if the cop lied about asking for ID or if he genuinely thought that he did. There's a big difference.

What's your name?

Why you asking?

What's your name? I'm gonna ask you one more time.

Oookay...Patrick

[officer interrupting him, not allowing him to ID himself, but of course his ID does not mater anyway] We probably need to talk...what's your name"

Uh...Patrick.

He then tells him to stand up
.
Patrick does and is told he is under arrest, even though the officer has not identified him as Michael.

"What happened...what'd I do?"- scared and clearly confused.

Officer responds we have a warrant for you (Bullcrap)

Crap, too much wrongdoing by the officers to keep typing.

Wow, just wow. Like I said before, Patrick gonna make bank on this one, as he should.

Then that cop needs counseling and a desk job. No excuse for that, then lying to try to cover it.

Protect and serve. Why is this so hard for some of these egomaniacs?

Even if he was lying, even ifvhe was the guy they were looking for, no one needed a tazing. They had him outnumbered, there was zero to escalate just because you got pissed off.

<----This Horn agrees agrees with Sarge completely.

Those cops screwed up. Plain and simple. How anyone can argue differently strictly due to an "Uhhhh......(Patrick)" stemming from utter confusion is mind boggling. Those officers couldn't have botched that engagement any worse in my opinion.

So you're again conceding that he complied with all 3 requests, so why didn't the cop do exactly what you said the steps were that he should have taken?

You gave the steps, we know he didn't follow the steps YOU said he should have followed, and yet you still knight for them, even after they lied afterwards as well.

quote:

Saying his name in question form.
The 1st time they asked he said it normally. He probably said it like that the 2nd time because he was confused as to why they were repeating the same exact question.

ck. Long pauses and hesitations. Saying his name in question form.
Not the 1st time he said it.

quote:

I know he's probably been brainwashed to not trust cops but that's his problem, not the cops.
And this example shows why and shows he has a legit reason to be.

Arrest warrant for a person arrested previously?

Do these cops not look at the mugshot from the previous arrest?
