I was just happy I didn't get ticketed really. If he's given me one I would've went off on his arse and definitely went to court over it because I had 2 passengers with me to support my claim

Yesterday I was doing 70 on I-10E heading from NO east to the CBD. And a cop was in the middle lane. Once I passed all the cars I needed to, I pulled into the middle lane.
I saw someone gaining on me really fast too. Once I got over, the cop got over and that car behind me flew past me. Must've been doing 80-85. Had to slam on his brakes and came within feet of hitting the cop.
I was laughing my arse off because I thought the dude was fricked. Nope.... cop just sped off.

He said that he couldve given me a ticket for passing him in the right lane (which I really don't believe is the law) but he didn't give me a ticket since I wasn't speeding and he said the only reason he stopped me was because I "disrespected him". My question is 1. Isn't it illegal to cruise in the passing lane and 2. Why the hell does he demand respect? Cops like him are the ones who give them a bad name.

I got a ticket for the same thing once around Covington. The guy was a complete prick. I told him he was in the left lane impeding the flow of traffic, so he then gave me a seat belt ticket and window tint ticket.

Got to be a rookie that just got out of an academy. Probably got picked on his whole life and now that he has a badge, wants to get his pay back on society. Usually gets his arse ripped by his Sergeant for doing this when it circulates back from numerous complaints and will quit in a few years.

These are my favorite. I got pulled over once for going 57 in a 55. The cop asked if I knew how fast I was going and said that he "had to go 75 just to catch up with you." I wanted to tell him, no shite you had to go faster than me to catch up to me I was already moving and you were sitting on the side of the road but I was polite and in the end he let me go with a warning.

Same thing happened to me a few years ago. Cop made me get out of the car and everything. He just got his feelings hurt is all.

pretty shitty of him, but turning it into an argument would have only ended worse for you. Best thing would have been to get his name and report it to his manager after the fact.
