While waiting for this LSU game to come on, I saw a Chevy ad that advertised 0% financing over 60 months. Gotta’ say, that’s a good deal. But…
You’re buying from a shite company that has unions. In other words, that company has lazy employees with guns pointed at Chevy’s head, which has become a breeding ground for entitlement, added costs, and unreliability passed on to the consumer…. Why? Because unionized employees can produce questionable quality without recourse.
If it’s too good to be true, it is. The only way Chevy and Ford can stay competitive is through 0% financing that they advertise every year.
So if you’re a baw that drives a truck, buy used Toyotas until Toyota gets their shite together and moves production to Japan.

You should really try some weed. Or maybe a daily anti-anxiety pill.

Your suggestion is to pay interest on a loan for a used product, which actually has higher interest rates due to being used, vs getting 0% financing on a new ride?
If we amortize it, what happens if the finance charges make both options cost the same in the end?

At least it will last with minimal maintenance over 100k, let alone 500k miles. Unions destroy companies. Literally cancer.

USA corporations have CEO's making 300 times what the lowest employee makes. In Japan, they are limited, by law, to 30x. Japanese CEO's have incentive to get the floor sweeper higher pay.
ETA Chevy's CEO makes $30 million per year.

My business truck is an F250. Just rolled 100K with zero issues
I gave one of my workers an old work truck we had years ago. My crews beat it up, but he needed a personal ride. It's still rolling with over 350K miles on it. Its a 2005 Chevy
In short, you aren't wrong about unions but you are being very hyperbolic and don't understand financing and why your suggestion is dumb

I got a Ford with 0% interst on the financing. I put my 20k down payment in a mutual fund as well. The truck was 7 or 8k cheaper than the Toyota I was going to buy plus I'm saving on interest. 120k miles on just regular maintenence. I can cover a motor/tranny swap and still have come out ahead.
Hopefully I'll be able to buy my next vehicle cash (unless I can find 0% financing again) with the 20k+growth.

Yes, but purely for write-off purposes
Not because the truck wouldn't easily last for another 100K + miles
Enjoy paying finance charges on a used vehicle vs getting a free loan on a new ride, Dave Ramsey
Been self-employed for 25 years now. Some might call that a success

Respect on the tax loopholes that will likely be above my head, but we’re talking about normal baws that work a 9-5 without equity in a company.

Ex wife bought a 19’ platinum Expedition, 84k sticker I believe and the extended warranty to 100k miles.
Warranty just ended 4 months ago. Engine making a rattling noise when it starts. Mechanic said it’s needs cam phasers and timing chain replaced. Very well known problem with that v6 eco boost engine. 8k fix.
Almost 90k invested and couldn’t make it to 90k miles. Pretty sad.

You know Tesla offers low financing too? I think they offer 0.99% when you finance with them.
How does your logic work there?

I’ve dealt with the lazy unions enough to know they claim they are the best of the best and have the best training. Yet routinely suck at their jobs and fail.
