I got accused of this from my former wife. This was not a word that she had ever used in her vocabulary with me. She learned it from her therapist.
The even funnier or ironic thing is … knowing what the word means was/is exactly what she does to me.
But she doesn’t see it that way and most likely, she never will. She’s unwilling and that’s just who she will always be towards me.
Life goes on. Grateful I have two daughters from my marriage.

It gets horribly overused at this point, but at its core, it's a useful concept: if you are gaslighting someone, it means that you are doing things with the intention of making them question, and doubt, their perception of reality. Generally, for the purpose of manipulating them.
