Only retards in Mississippi would build a colosseum on top of a volcano

Man, if that thing blows it could do hundreds of millions of dollars worth of improvements.

So the Coliseum is built on a volcano and the UMMC complex is built on a mass grave... Wonder what's under Veterans Memorial Stadium.

Known as the Jackson dome. Denbury owns the rights to the co2 produced there and uses it in their operations throughout the southeast.

If we ever get a Pompeii situation from this, I'm going to be (not) upset.

All the red clay in that region came from a prehistoric eruption.

The Mississippi nuclear testing is far more interesting than a volcano that has not been a volcano for 66 million years

Evidently, I live down the street from the plant they have in Walker because I get safety mailers every so often. What do they do with the co2 they pipe in/out?

Re-inject it into old fields as CO2 floods and produce more oil through tertiary recovery projects. They have quite a few from Texas gulf coast through Louisiana and Mississippi.

Yes.

Its one of the two interesting facts about Jackson.

The other is that the International Ballet Competition rotates between Shanghai, Moscow, Helsinki and Jackson.

A local philanthropist who supported the ballet bailed them out of severe financial problems in the 60s/70s. The condition was that Jackson be added to the rotation.

So every four summers, the best ballerinas in the world descend on Jackson.

And those girls are fire.
