did you just admit out loud that CPB is a one-sided mouthpiece for one political party?

If NPR was biased to the right it would have been shut down during Obama's first term, you sub-tard.

Except that NPR hasn't been shut down, only CPB has.

It's been funny reading through this thread about how most people like something about public broadcasting, most people also don't like something about it. Why is it that you have to like 100% of the programming before agreeing that tax dollars could pay for some of it?

Because it looks like the way this is going to play out is that everyone is going to lose the programming they like, while NPR stays on the air.

I remember several years ago when Democrats were upset that talk radio was dominated by right wing shows. First they tried to mandate equal play time for right and left leaning radio shows then the hey started Air America which completely shite the bed.

For those of us not given to low-IQ takes on this situation, we know NPR isn't going dark but do expect to see it start shifting its balance, even if that means some of its long-standing talent starts retiring or quitting.

Precious few.

That now the viewership is going to be even more urban and liberal, and no more tax dollars, it's going to shift its balance?

But it's still funny that so many are going to lose what they liked, and keep what they were trying to get rid of.

Austin city limits and tiny desk. I also enjoyed the Ken burns stuff on pbs. American experience was good too.
