Jody has never started a thread on here about his book to my knowledge. Occasionally there are threads about him or his dad and he comments in them. I think it would be kind of hard not to if it were me.
I don't know him but can appreciate what that could do to a kid and he seems like a good guy.

He was good friends with my sister in grade school(they are still friends) and a cool dude.... It takes a strong person to get over a traumatic event like he and his family went through. And his Dad(God rest his soul) put his life on the line for his child, served justice and is a local legend so show some freaking respect.

Do you think if Mike didn’t grab your father so quickly, your dad was about kill himself next (or did he ever say anything to that effect)? Did he ever talk to about that night at all. I understand that night really messed him up for the rest of his life.
The bad asses on here say they would do the same thing, but I’m not sure if they understand exactly all that happened to you, your father, and the rest of your family, for 20 years, until his passing. I’m sure it was a major toll on the family.
I’ve met your dad a few times (sorry about your loss), you and I grew up in the same neighborhood, you were (are) very good friends of my sister (I think y’all graduated together).

I knew Gary casually through a mutual friend. He was a genuinely nice guy with a great sense of humor. Saw him at the pistol range (Precision) several years after the incident - he came over to speak to me. Still had the same big, friendly grin.
