Just like fathers need to teach their daughters what they should expect in a man to be their potential husband and how they should settle for nothing less.....
Mothers need to teach their sons what they should look for in a wife and study how the woman treats herself and others and determine if she is fit to be not just a wife but a mother as well.
Opposite sex parents are the template for children when it comes to romantic relationships later on in life and it's so crucial fathers get it right with their daughters and vice versa with mothers getting it right with their sons.
Fathers teach daughters what healthy masculinity is.
Mothers teach sons what healthy femininity is.

That's why same sex parents are important to serve as a check on the excesses the opposite sex parent give to the child.
Make sure it doesn't get out of hand with Mama's boys and Daddy's girls.
I'm a bit of a Mama's boy myself but my father served as a good check on my mother to make sure it didn't get out of hand and I'm a better man for it today.

Admittedly I do browse them occasionally but I also like to see who tries to one up each other with the most absurd comment about what they would do to get a chance with a specific woman.
