There was some sob story a lady posted about her home being robbed by some homeless person she let sleep in her house. She wanted $. Her story didn't add up. I looked her up on facebook, and she seemed like a loner. I found out she had a brother and sent him a message on facebook, and he basically told me to not believe a word she says and that she will do anything to get her next fix. I responded to her comment on NextDoor and warned people about donating any money, and this lady just flew off the handle. A few people thought my comment was mean too. It wasn't.

We have a coyote problem in our neighborhood. I've seen them a number of times. The cat ladies are always talking about trying to get the government involved We had a black bear spotted on Jones Creek a few months back and that one was fun to follow too

Damn. Ok well maybe I’m wrong. I just know that I go walking or jogging at night routinely and never seen a coyote. But then some woman will post the next day about all the coyotes rampaging so beware!

Great place to troll. Some of the most gullible people on the planet.

I caught a “break” for an exchange with a chick over not locking her doors. She had posted a video of some folks going through her car and her husband’s work truck, where they apparently stole a bunch of tools. Multiple people asked how they were able to access the cars and she was purposefully ignoring them.

So I finally just asked “Did you lock your car doors?” and she lost her shite. Accused me of victim blaming and whatever. So I posted a graphic from the local PD that said the #1 deterrent of car theft is to lock your car doors and I got reported and temporarily suspended.

Those people are nuts.

Its a nice place to tell if your neighborhood has a lot of Karens and generally nosy people who can't live life without making a scene..

I am attempting to write a post that scratches every single Nextdoor itch at once. Maybe a random car has been dumping grass clippings in the road while taking pictures of houses and they are following a dog walker that is not picking their dog’s poo because they saw a snake but they can’t identify it but luckily a coyote was there to eat the poo but could eat a fur baby and there were pit bull owners across the street with no leash.
Don't forget to mention these:

"I just heard a loud boom, does anyone know what this is?"

"Who else is having trouble with Verizon / Cox cable / "the internet" / etc?"

"Did anyone else not get their trash picked up today?"

"Please someone recommend a great person for a manicure"

"Is anybody hiring?"

"Can anybody help me get rid of my old refrigerator?"

"I am your handyman - I can do anything you need!"

"Who has the best pizza?"

They kill people's pets and small dogs sometimes. We have hundreds of acres of woods next to our neighborhood.

If you leave little sparky outside all night he might go missing. One of my neighbors even caught a bobcat ripping up a house cat a few years ago on their Ring doorbell. We have lots of wildlife for being in the city limits.

Trapping coyotes doesn't really work though. Just remove their food sources and they'll go somewhere else.

Don’t put your plastic baggie of dog cr#p that you picked up on your walk - into my garbage can. It’s rude and it stinks. I don’t have a dog and certainly don’t appreciate you dropping your (sealed!) baggie of dog poo in my ridiculously clean GARBAGE can. Now I have to wash and deodorize my can! (Seriously)

i had a "doorbell ditch" prankster come up when i was alone one night. it was the night after halloween. caught the kid on my Ring doorbell. posted the video to Nextdoor and told everyone to keep their shithead kids in check and that my house is a pro-2A house.

i was then ridiculed, and ended up leaving the app all together.

Of course you don’t have strays. The neighborhood bears handle up on those.

You should be ridiculed. You threatened to shoot children for ringing your doorbell you dummy.

I live in Mobile area that’s got tons of old oaks and as result tons of big owls, great horned, barred etc. We also have a good community of coyotes and 1000 big dogs. So as a result the cat people are constantly looking for their missing outside cat.

Yep. Nextdoor is just like a gauge. When the neighborhood gets too many Karen’s and limp wrists… time to go build somewhere.

Our neighborhood is outside of town. Not much traffic. So a lot of kids ride ATVs and stuff around. Just being kids, teenagers, and stuff. One Karen complained and got obliterated in the reply’s. So it’s still safe to hang around a little longer.

I'm glad I live out on land, the closest thing I've gotten was getting some dirt delivered and the tailgate of the dump truck hit 3 or 4 times dumping.

If used correctly, it would be a very powerful tool. Instead it’s a bunch of Karens posting Ring camera screenshots every time someone walks down the street with a hoodie on.

Last year someone posted saying they heard a dog barking in a storm drain on my street. He was certain it was a mediam sized dog barking some distance from the opening. People went nuts! ASPCA was called, Animal Control, Police and Fire Dept. I walked down and listened, a bullfrog could be heard distinctly. NextDoor is awesome!
