I could see this being an issue if you've never changed a tire on a truck but they mostly work the same way.

Were you lifting up the battery so you could push a real truck underneath it?

the new ones require a key.
using that key requires knowing where it is
using that key requires knowing where it is

My girlfriend is a better mechanic than I am. Ole girl knows how to change anything.
Posted on 12/22/19 at 3:13 pm to thelawnwranglers
Should have just asked your wife to do it for you.

I had a 2002 Chrysler Sebring (quit laughing) and eventually I had to change the battery and I suddenly realized I couldn't find it. I looked everywhere and was baffled. I found 2 post for jump starting it but no battery. Had to break out the owners manual and come to find out, had to remove the drivers side front tire for the battery compartment. Strangest thing.

You could have just asked your husband how to do it

How old was your last vehicle? I strongly suggest that you read your owner’s manual. There are some major changes, some quite strange, on these newer vehicles.
Who actually reads the manual? I drove my truck for 3 years before realizing that i have a heated steering wheel

Yep, you're clearly a truck person.

Don’t feel bad. It took me 10 minutes and a flashlight to open the hood of my new company F150 when I was going to install a bug guard.

There is nothing different to open a truck hood in a few years now.

I had to google how to add freon around a hemi engine.

I just got a new company F150...
I had to hunt around until I found the lever you can barely get your hands on then have to pull up on it...
I have to believe that most of the people with smartass comments have no idea what you're talking about and those that do will not admit they had to figure it out the first time...

Don’t feel bad.
First new car I ever had was a work car, piece of shite 2012 Fusion. The newest car I had driven previously was a 2002 Silverado. Went to fill it up with gas and had no idea how to open the gas lid. Took me several minutes before someone came show me that you simply push the lid in and it pops out. And I still had a flip phone at the time so I couldn’t google it.
Felt like a dumbass.
