Id argue more now that the split is more city/rural than north south. The people in cape cod reminded me alot of people in the south (with a few exceptions but still)

I was in a little country/wealthy burb between Colo Springs and Denver two weeks ago. Hamming it up on a fancy balcony with some friends of my friend who lives there.

They babbled and ranted about politics and sounded JUST like my far-right Trump Humpers in the Ascension Parish.

One dude was bragging about boycotting Netflix over Cuties, Boycotting Nike over Kap, NFL over BLM, and so on.

I was amused as frick. They may have different accents but same views.

There are no names used in that statement. Like I said...education baw!
quote:

The fact remains the divide in this country is not North vs South or educated vs non-educated.

It's rural vs urban

Well guess what? That is still an education issue. The urban areas are where the much higher percentage of higher educated people reside, because that is where the greater amount of opportunity's lie and as I showed with the previous chart, the North is also more highly educated than the South.

quote:

It's wanting to live your life as you see fit, versus wanting the government to dictate how one should live their life,

It's the entire reason the mask bullshite became so polarizing.

NO it is not the "entire" reason, to think being asked to put a small piece of cloth on your face in order to minimize the spraying and inhaling of airborne water droplets is in somehow a revocation of your liberties or freedom...is just plain asinine and only became polarizing thanks to the amount of people that listen to these 3 stooges.

And an FYI...I live as rural as it gets in a log cabin on 50 acres in the Vermont mountains near the New Hampshire border (living my life as I see fit) where it is 30 mins. to the closest drive thru or grocery store except for local co-op's. We are an 88% rural state that love our guns and our ganja and wore our masks with very little issue. So now we don't and likely will not ever have to again, because we are at 84% vaccination. Precisely what you would expect in higher educated locations.

I wonder if there is any correlation those North and South differences and levels of education?

Anyone who believes education correlates with intelligence is one stupid person.
And yes, an education can be used to elevate one's station in life.
It is also historically frequently used as a form of ideological indoctrination.

Thank you for proving my point.

Live my life as I see fit versus live my life as you see fit.

The above is a perfectly example of the latter.

You are absolutely correct about education not equaling intelligence. However, higher education does directly correlate with a persons ability to comprehend much more complex issues. Do I detect a touch of inferiority complex in Mr. tigahbruh? Textbook case actually.

At least you're being honest about your lack of intelligence despite your education.

Quite the irony considering your posts in this thread thusfar. I immediately thought "fake northern elitist with an inferiority complex" when reading your posts here.

I would also like for you to explain how a liberal/progressive mecca like New York has the same high school graduation rate as ARKANSAS and how you come to terms with that. New York is about as blue as they come, while Arkansas is about as red as they come; how does your beloved educational rules explain that?

And you can't play "northern elitist" like you are while having shitty grammar and punctuation. It doesn't come off well.

None of those things he mentioned involved freedom of speech.

The system that progressives/Democrats appear to want is a version of England’s Section 127 of the 2003 Communications Act, which criminalizes “offensive speech”.
