“ He said encourage,not force”

I wouldn’t wear one,I’m not a hypochondriac.
What I don’t like about it is I can see insurance companies trying to force it.

RFK is increasingly trying to turn his personal preferences into national policy. Initially I was a supporter but that is rapidly fading.

Except he's not doing any of that.

Very compelling argument. Really excited to read all of the information you have to support this.

RFK is a nut. He would absolutely be the type to track everything you did. He knows what's best for you, just ask him

How is this different than an Apple watch?

The more I work with AI the more I am for it, but I think there are products that are very loose with the term AI.

I stopped reading at any sentence containing the words "RFK, Jr" and "thought this out".

Mobile devices extending Amazon Sidewalk??

It seems capable of doing more than tracking lost devices. They have a lot of fixed points already with cameras and other listening devices with their Ring Cameras and Echo devices. You don’t hear as much about it as you do Apple’s find my network, but with ring cameras including doorbells, echo devices, Bluetooth and some 800mhz & 900mhz technologies built in along with AWS it seems like it has potential for doing more good but also doing more bad especially in the US where it was said to cover 90% of the US population already back in 2023. Tile uses network.

From Amazon:
quote:

Amazon Sidewalk is a shared network that helps devices work better. Operated by Amazon at no charge to customers, Sidewalk can help simplify new device setup, extend the low-bandwidth working range of devices to help find pets or valuables with Tile trackers, and help devices stay online even if they are outside the range of their home wifi. In the future, Sidewalk will support a range of experiences from using Sidewalk-enabled devices, such as smart security and lighting and diagnostics for appliances and tools.

Some network info:
quote:

Amazon Sidewalk amalgamates multiple physical-layer wireless networking protocols and presents them into a single application layer they call "Sidewalk Application Layer".

Transmission technologies:
Bluetooth Low Energy for short distances and battery efficiency
LoRa for long-range low-power communication
Frequency-shift keying at 900 MHz, intended for interacting with legacy home appliances like garage door openers

Devices
The following devices support Amazon Sidewalk:
Amazon Echo devices

Ring doorbells and cameras

CareBand wearables for people living with dementia

Fetch, an upcoming pet collar from Tile

Not sure it ring and echo default to requiring opting out of the network, but that’s how they were back on 2021.

From Arstech article back when having to opt out was discovered.
quote:

Next, consider the wealth of intimate details Amazon devices are privy to. They see who knocks on our doors, and in some homes they peer into our living rooms. They hear the conversations we’re having with friends and family. They control locks and other security systems in our home.

Extending the reach of all this encrypted data to the sidewalk and living rooms of neighbors requires a level of confidence that’s not warranted for a technology that has never seen widespread testing.

Last, let’s not forget who’s providing this new way for everyone to share and share alike. As independent privacy researcher Ashkan Soltani puts it: “In addition to capturing everyone’s shopping habits (from amazon.com) and their internet activity (as AWS is one of the most dominant web hosting services)... now they are also effectively becoming a global ISP with a flick of a switch, all without even having to lay a single foot of fiber.”

There are quite a few prominent people in the US and loads of their followers who are verging on disagreeing with this fact....there is a sizeable number of people who sincerely claim they think in a generation or so mankind will have beaten death. For some reason most of them seem to be fond of RFK Jr......
