Because not every hour is equal and folks likely have tried to clear their workload so that they can enjoy the holiday. People mentally check out, it happens every week and every day.

When you work at a company that values employees over the bottom line, you’ll get it. Until then, it’ll be just as much a foreign concept to you as it is now.
I’d say that most good bosses out there realize that their employees “mail it in” on Tuesday of this week.
