Back neighbors to me just redid the fence. Rails on my side. Only thing I wish was a heads up since it took 3 days to do and I have a dog that will run. Son said a tree branch fell on it and busted 2 slats before the fence guys left.

As long as you used 6d nails instead of 8d, you're good. If you used 8 penny nails or longer and they're poking through, you are in fact a gaping, prolapsed rectum.

The company that built my fence did it that way. I didn't really think much about it before so I assume that's how most people do it. Wouldn't really bother me either way. I have neighbors on each side so they are the only people who see the other side.
