Nice truck. I still have my 2003 Silverado, 160, 000 miles. Runs like a champ although wife has put a few dents in the side panels.

Crew cabs with little tiny beds are for people who don’t really need a truck, but want to look trendy.

OP’s truck is perfect

the early 2000s stuff was good

The 99-07 trucks were the most reliable trucks GM ever made, hands down. You can’t kill a 5.3 or 6.0 before they had to screw them up with afm.
But there’s just something about the 88-98 trucks that I love far more.

Congrats! I have an old 95 GMC that's been passed down to me. It's easy to work on and tougher than most newer vehicles. It is not pretty but it runs and gets the job done around the property and gets me from point a to b

The Wrangler MT/Rs from that time were awesome. I don’t like the third iteration of them, the second versions were the best.

Saw a black 95 sierra z71 for sale recently. Looked to be sitting on 33’s or so. Apparently my wife doesn’t think I “need” it, but dang it was a good looking truck. That 10 years or so of those box body styles that had are classic.

Baws who were teens and 20s in the 90s are buying them like previous generations bought muscle cars once they were 40 or 50.

Definitely. I was looking for mid to late 80s 4Runners for the last year and they were starting to get out of hand.

I assume we’re close in age and guys our age are now getting some serious disposable income and it’s showing in the market.

Why are bed sides so high now?

You used to could reach over a bedside and move things in the bed, not anymore.

I'm 31 so late 2000's would be that era for me but I always liked these and the early 2000's better.

My dad had two of these when I was a kid, kinda funny how they all smell and sound the same.

I’m 41, but I was 16 when the truck you just bought was brand new. Would’ve sold at least one of my nuts for one when I got my license.

Meanwhile, this was the BS that was new when I was 16

I daily drive a 99 F-250. Congrats on the truck... it's beautiful. If I ever downsize that's probably what I'll be looking for

I’ve been looking for a single cab Z71 89-98. They’re proud of the ones that are in decent shape.

Where’d you find it?
