I am not saying it is man-made mind you, only that things are not the same and nature is changing. My lake use to overflow once every decade and those who owned it before I bought it said it "rarely flooded" but had done so a few times over the 40 years it was in their families ownership. It floods now every year for 4 years into wham.

You should be a professor or something with that level of in depth research and analysis. Thanks for sharing. Definitely pay more taxes to fix it.

Yes, I'm convinced now! Let's give France a trillion dollars to help reduce temperatures .067 degrees all while places like India and China continue to triple their carbon footprint.

Well, something is changing. It is obvious to myself as the variables I use, such as my lame, surrounding lowlands/wetlands, and measuring annual rainfall the last few years shows a major change.

It has rained all day up here in North Louisiana again. If it doesn't hold off tomorrow we are fricked. And it is suppose to rain all week next week after a short break for Thursday-saturday.

This is a pattern not some one off happenstance. A trend.

Call it what you wish or just let your feels get hurt. Regardless shite has changed, period. I believe it is global warming. Whether cyclical or man made I don't give a shite which.

Update

It has rained an extra 4 inches today here and it hasn't let up much except for a few minutes at a time--longest being about an hour.

It is pouring right now with another massive downpour coming.

If tomorrow doesn't being relief Ruston/Monroe is screwed along with most the rest of North Louisiana.

Forecast next week is rain all week long from Monday-Friday. We aren't even in March yet. Ouachita will reach 35 ft by tomorrow. Will likely ruse to 40 before weekend. So much damn water it is unbelievable. It is crazy to imagine so much water is generated in such a small amount of time DURING WINTER!

You get me a couple billion, I'll fix it and it'll be 70 degrees every day like it used to be in the good old days.

That's just bullshite. They open a coal fired power plant every week.

The minute the government quits funding wind and solar it will crash just like it did after Carter when the same morons were telling us we were going to starve from overpopulation by 2000 and die in frozen cities from the next ice age.

Plants start to die at 200 ppm. Warmth created the ascendance of humanity from the dark ages. They grew grapes in Britain back then, something they cant do now. Proven by French writings of vineyard growers worried about losing market share to the English.

The premise that man is disastrously changing the climate is a preposterous claim, and needs extraordinary evidence to prove. And no one has seen it yet. Have you looked at the benefits of a warming climate?

If I told you the accumulation of metals in mans cities was altering the magnetic field of the earth and it is proven by the wandering of the magnetic poles you would say I was crazy.....and you should.

All the forecasting computer models have missed the slowdown of the natural warming we are seeing, not one has got it right. Instead of digging for only the things you think prove your case, look for the ones that don't, then try to explain that first, then get back with me.

It is absolutely happening and accelerating and the evidence is far from “anecdotal” as other posters claim.

The issue has become politicized of course and people will passionately side with their tribe. That results in some of the searching, false claims, backbending and mental gymnastics you see on this topic and in this thread.

Anyone can find anything online to support whatever they wish to believe or help them “stick it” to the other tribe.

And then there is the reality of what’s happening.

The last 4 years has shown me there is a change in our climate in North Louisiana.

Here's my anecdote.

The hurricanes I went through from 2000-2010 were way worse and wetter than the ones I went through from 2010-2020.

In the 80s we were supposed to have another ice age by now.

So what happened?

It's called climate change... ironically, also known as weather.

Kinda like asymptomatic is also the same as "healthy"

See how they manipulate terms to justify a tax?

And give it another 100 years and North LA will still be shitty, but just cold shitty

What type of SUV’s and trucks were driven to end the ice age?
