Yes. I am prepared to pay Southern Company an extra 25% on my power bill so that the money can be transferred to some God-forsaken third world country to be spent on hookers, blow and tricked out Mercedes limos so that your creek won't rise. Move. or add another course of cider blocks under your house piers.

I think global warming is real. I don’t know if humans are accelerating it, but regardless I think it’s better to try to be greener because it makes for a healthier overall environment. I’d prefer clean air that won’t give me lung cancer and I don’t think we should dump tons of garbage in the ocean and stuff like that. This will sound hippy-ish but we have one earth, I think we should try to keep it nice.

Unprecedented rain levels with last year over 80+ inches alone. Major flooding in 2016, and now we are about to experience an unprecedented flood by Wednesday night, if not sooner.

Every foot of concrete poured is a foot less of natural drainage.

It isn’t raining more. The rain just has less places to go.

Jesus fricking Christ.

It's science. You can either accept it or reject it. You don't "believe" in it like the tooth fairy or santa.

I’m sure the climate is changing, and I’m sure that we can do nothing to stop it.

How fricking arrogant do you have to be to believe that we can change the weather when we still really don’t even understand how the weather works?

No, it didn’t. Four years doesn’t show anybody anything.

Oh it is man made flooding. Like the poster above said loss of green space leads to more runoff creating more flooding with the similar amounts of rain. Take a flight at night across the country and look down at all the lights. We have developed ourselves into this new normal.

Also we certainly need to do things like get ourselves off fossil fuels and use more green energy or nuclear as long as we can guarantee we don't have another Chernobyl.

The way you can tell that imminent, catastrophic man-made global warming is BS is that when the democrats had all three branches of government they did nothing to help the nuclear power business. If we were really in such peril it would have been all hands on deck. And they still fly around in general aviation jets, don’t they?

My lake use to overflow once every decade and those who owned it before I bought it said it "rarely flooded" but had done so a few times over the 40 years it was in their families ownership. It floods now every year for 4 years into wham.

I believe in the Kardeshev Scale. I believe we will advance to that point or we will no longer exist as a species.

Do you question whether water is made up hydrogen and oxygen molecules?

Do you believe that we inhale oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide?

Do you believe gold is a natural element?

If so, then why is it so difficult to admit that CO2, N2O, and CH4, all byproducts of human energy consumption, prevent heat from escaping the atmosphere. This is basic chemistry, not some made up bullshite.

Causes aside, evaluating the legitimacy of an issue by the actions of politicians is about as asinine as it gets.

Nobody is saying that Earth is going to end soon. It's more about having irreversible effects that's the main concern. Anyone saying oh we're doomed is just being sensationalist
