I am watching the Santa Clause (Tim Allen) and had an epiphany about their marriage

At the end when the ex-wife realized Tim Allen was REALLY Santa Clause, she was excited she finally got that Mystery Date Game. That’s the most unrealistic thing I’ve ever seen in a movie.
A REAL ex-wife would have realized her ex-husband just gained the power to know when she’s sleeping or awake. To know when she’s naughty or nice.
Basically she would realize he would know about how she fantasized about other men, ignored the kid under the false guise of taking a shite, and taking the BBC on the side.
All during a custody battle.
This story is really a horror story for women.

Recently read an interview where they revealed that the original script was much darker and had Tim Allen shoot and kill the previous Santa Claus because he thought he was a burglar. Tim showed up to the set and told them the script would need to be changed.
