Westbound is closed starting at Lobdell, now. 190 is going to be a nightmare.

My parents said it took 2 hours to get from BR to Opelousas. Happy Friday, Louisiana.

Heading to Lafayette from Nola. Looks like I’ll be making pot stops along the way since there’s no need to rush now.

Morons behind the wheel of big rigs shut down I-10 weekly in Baton Rouge.

Why wouldn’t they take US-190 for that?

Special needs big rig drivers combined with Louisiana’s lax lane discipline enforcement and bad road conditions make an excellent market for personal injury lawyers.

See it every time I drive that stretch.

They also like to fall asleep while driving. That was the case with the last two out of three incidents I had dealt with. The third one was a diabetic seizure.

Obviously none caused by 'four wheelers'.

I guess I should leave now to go pickup my kids from school. Is 5 hours enough time to go 7 miles today?

How is I-10 not three lanes from BR to Texas Line by now?

It needs to be at least 3 lanes in either direction, with strict limits on trucks for 60 mph max in the right two lanes only.
