Waze just had me go to Highland Road from Perkins/Siegen to get to Lab School because I-10 would’ve been over an hour. It’s pretty pathetic how horrible it is.

It’s taken me an over an hour to go from the overpass area to the bridge going westbound. Can’t wait to leave this dump permanently

What's the deal? I don't see a jackknifed big rig or a car on fire in that photo.

The highway 1 crap across the river has clogged all surface streets and interstates in BR.

Unreal

Why do people keep complaining? BR traffic has always been this way and always will be this way.

No large scale company will ever want to break ground in BR if they cant even move product in its transit system.

It’s never been this bad. Now shite that happens across the river is backing up traffic all the way to LP and AP

Never thought I’d say this but I’ll be happy to drive to the sorrento area to the barn after this week. Getting to river road has been a nightmare.

Also, the increase in ferry traffic is causing issues. I was almost hit head on several times last night by people flying on my side of the road trying to go around the ferry line

It’s infuriating. And the pieces of human garbage that feel the need to leave a full car length in front of them in bumper to bumper traffic can DIAF

This makes no difference at all.

I don't know the specifics of the Intracoastal Bridge damage. But I can't imagine that it couldn't be fixed in a couple of days if they really place priority on it and had crews working around the clock. There are several turnarounds going on right now and there's a TON of traffic going across to that side right now.

What pisses me off about DOTD is they treat these kinds of things like "ho, hum...it'll get done when it gets done" type mentality. Sunshine Bridge is a prime example. By the way, they have one side of that down to one lane...STILL.

The only silver lining in this thing is that for every nightmare scenario that happens, it opens that many more eyes to the importance of building another cross route across the river from Baton Rouge to the west side.

Yeah that car length will get you home a lot quicker.
