I-10 in New Orleans East closed between Irish Bayou and Michoud because of super fog

NEW ORLEANS — Early morning fog and smoke from a marsh fire burning in New Orleans East is causing near-zero visibility on Interstate 10 between Irish Bayou and Michoud, traffic authorities report.
Authorities report at least four accidents that happened in the area due to poor visibility. I-10 is closed in both directions from Highway 11 to I-510.
Multiple accidents are reported which include an overturned 18-wheeler truck and at least one fatality.
Drivers are urged to avoid the Interstate and Highway 90 and take I-12 to the Causeway Bridge as an alternate route.
Super Fog was the cause of October's fatal multiple-vehicle crash on I-55.

I encountered the same thing a few weeks ago.

I remember when we just had heavy fog. Sometimes with smoke from burning cane or marsh.
Never had “ super fog “. Just Superman.
