It's a straight shot. Not deadly.

It's all deadly when people are not paying attention.

I’m gonna assume the deceased was the driver of this 18 wheeler. Terrible.

What kind of bus is that. Is that one of those Mexican chartered busses?

You're incorrect. It's deadly.

The Miss River Bridge is often backed up due to shitty civil planning and a one lane bottleneck heading into Baton Rouge.

Also, there are people driving from out of state or who are not familiar with that stretch of interstate that cross over the Hwy 415 overpass at 70 to 75 mph.

Every so often they will crash into the back of someone who is at a dead stop.

This, most times, results in critical injuries or death.

It's really bad when it's an 18 wheeler. They can't stop like your average sedan or half ton truck.

That 18 wheeler must have been going faster than 65, right?

Based on what you wrote, it seems like driver error.

People driving too fast, not paying attention, and/or tailgating and running into people on a straight road.

They need to put governors on these fricking 18 wheelers that top out at 65. I'm sick of this shite.

Why in the frick would they block that west bound lane?
Seems silly.
Dead person is either the truck driver or whoever was in the bus shitter. They usually are on the right rear side of the buses.

Someone is making a fortune off of the lawsuit!

This still doesn't explain why 10/12 was backed up going AWAY from the closure.

And they think they will be able to close the interstate down to 2 lanes each direction for a year with no impact in 2024?

That seems like an awful lot of damage to the 18 Wheeler compared to the bus that he hit.

It’s not like every CDL driver on I-10 within 800 miles of BR doesn’t know about said bottle neck and or CB chatter…. Probably watching pornhub
