Question posed on Golf Board, but very few travel there.

Say "George" is getting snipped. But "George" wants to play golf. "George" loves golf.

Is it possible for "George" to play 18 holes of golf after about a full week of rest?

Any personal experiences?

George should be able to play a couple days after.

Should be fine. I played golf within a week of mine. Even got a boner within a week.

I felt fantastic after 48 hours and undertook some strenuous activity because that doctor didn’t know what he was talking about. I busted an internal stitch and ended up with a sack the size of an orange. Doc gave me the option of bed rest for three days to let it drain on its own or letting him stick a big arse syringe in there and draining it. The bed rest was nice. A week is probably good but I would advise to do what the man in the white jacket says.

After doing what the doctor tells you to do for the 48 hours as far as icing and stuff you can pretty much do what you want after that. You'll actually feel fine the next day but don't push it. Very important you chill and ice for 2 days.
I was riding a dirt bike after two weeks.
If you have it done on a Thursday you could be golfing by Monday.

I cut the grass with 0 pain after 3 days. And bagged the clippings because I am not white trash. Should be fine.

Yes it is.

I had mine done on a Friday and was back to work at a manual labor job on Monday. I did ice them before work and on my way home for me first week back at work.

My cousin got a vasectomy and his nuts swelled up to the size of baseballs. The doctor said that happens all the time and it was easy to fix- just had to remove them. Doctor said he didn't really have any anyway if he let his wife talk him into getting his junk cut up

Yes. 48 hours and you should be good to go.

You might feel some “tightness” or “tenderness” in that area for a while but it goes away over time and won’t stop you from doing normal activities.

Hey George. You're retarded.

You CAN absolutely do this the next day after the procedure. But I'll clue you in on a little thing a lot of folks don't think about. If you get snipped in the summer and you go out and do things in hot weather, you start sweating. Particularly in your nether-regions. When that sweat starts getting into your......ummmm....."opening".......you can pretty much plan on the wound getting infected and extending recovery time by a week or so.

Moral of the story: Get snipped in the winter.

Agreed. It's nothing. I literally got it done on July 3rd and was out and about walking all over our downtown district with my kids on July 4th. No memorable discomfort to speak of. That said, I should have given it another day or two and I should have done it in November or December, but whatever.
