Born and raised and spent 46 years in St. Tammany. Moved the fam to Colorado Springs last year. Love it so far. My job is mostly remote but the office is near the Civic Center. The first time I walked down 16th Street I thought I was in Back to the Future 2. So far ahead of BR and NOLA. Nice mass transit on the front range too.

There’s some strange people here too, you think Louisiana is bad.
I've lived in many states, presently ID, but to me CO is the most beautiful state in the lower 48. However the winters are tragic, and the people are largely nuts, so a big no to that idea.

Politics aside, probably Northern California or the Oregon coast. That or New Hampshire/Vermont.
