Jesus Christ. The company was liable for what happened to you. No one would have blamed you for suing.
But congrats on the 30+ years of additional medical expenses and lost wages. I hope that pat on the back from the company was worth it.

Yeah, there should be warnings for this type of thing. I don't want to watch someone die.
Didn't watch, but it can't be worse than the guy caught in the spinning yarn spool.

And the last 5 or 6 posts illustrates why our country's infrastructure is falling apart. Sure the construction work isnt really that expensive, but that liability baw.
FOH, man.....businesses and corporations will push the law as far as they can to protect their assets. Abuses of labor laws, immigration laws, bankruptcy, vulture capitalists, environmental rules, etc. They scrupulously skirt laws to fatten their pockets.
Meanwhile, you think employees should just sit down and stfu when they get seriously hurt on the job?

Not what I'm saying. It's the mentality. The guy posts 5 or 6 sentences of details, and hes getting railed for not taking the company for everything they are worth. We know basically nothing. It not always as simple as "sue if you can".

Man, these companies will throw you under the bus once you are no longer of use to them. They preach you being loyal to them but they have ZERO loyalty to you.
When you are hurting for the rest of your life they aren’t gonna be there for you or your family

Jesus Christ you just reminded me of a horrible nightmare I had this week. In this dream, some chick I was with ended up being dragged into some mechanical contraption and just started screaming non stop in blood curdling pain. In the dream, i start running around begging people to help but no one would. Felt like that lasted an hour

That is exactly what you are saying. You are saying that corporations should not be responsible for the damage that they cause. It is the only thing that makes sense because...
No one said anything that could in any world be interpreted as this.
A guy said that he wouldn't look into getting damage to himself fixed and was told that was a foolish mentality. Then you went off about how lawsuits are bad without any understanding or care for if it was frivolous or not.

That video felt like it lasted an hour. The guy looked like a tenderized steak by the end.

The guy you're replying to has Marxist tendencies, you'll never break through.

Honestly I would say its split down the middle pretty evenly, but ultimately both the employer and employer is responsible for the employees safety.

Let me introduce you to the concepts of workers compensation immunity, statutory employer, and two-contract theory.

My own fault though. I should have known better.
OP's comment was not a lie, but it also lead one to believe the person in the video would survive. That was not the case. The plus side for the victim is that he never felt or knew a thing.
