It's pathetic to see the left tripping all over themselves to declare that guy a hero.

But why? fricking why??? What lost and depraved environment led them to value such beings of nothingness?

People stopped admiring class and now are intrigued by attitude and fake celebrity. What's worse, so many young women try to emulate the trash they watch on reality tv.

I haven't said a word since I started the thread, but if my wife died in such a heroic way and received an award for it, I probably wouldn't give it away.

It's awesome.

Giving the reward to Bruce just made it worthless.

No it didnt, this guy knows his wife earned it and can always say why his wife received the honor. 15 years later it became worthless all of a sudden?

Nobody would ever think Caitlyn and this man's wife were on the same level.

The whole act screams "look at me" just as much as anything Jenner has done.

I think this dude needs to quit being a little bitch and using his wifes' passing to promote his political ideals....

For a lot of people, it's not even about that.

Joe Rogan puts it best (I'm paraphrasing), that Bruce Jenner was a fricking douche for all that reality show bullshite and not someone that anyone should look up to, and him becoming a woman doesn't somehow change that. It's still the same person with the same fricked up mind.

It's like we can't even criticize transgender folks for being pieces of shite (if they are) just because they are transgender. If they're a piece of shite then that's what they are.

Jenner isn't even remotely liked in the transgender community. Shouldn't that tell you everything you need to know? But yeah let's give her bravery and WOTY awards left and right

YEP. All about making sure everyone knows how I feel.

And I don't even give half a frick about Bruce/Caitlyn Jenner...

I understand your sentiment, but I highly doubt the WOTY award from Glamour magazine gives some sort of validation to his wife's death. Additionally, she probably received numerous medals and recognition posthumously that was legitimately cherished.

Here was his letter to the Glamour editor:

quote:

I was shocked and saddened to learn that Glamour has just named Bruce Jenner ‘Woman of the Year.' Was there no woman in America, or the rest of the world, more deserving than this man? I can only guess that this was a publicity stunt meant to resuscitate a dying medium. After discussing this slap in the face to the memory of our Hero with my family, I have decided to return Moira’s award to Glamour magazine.

Without a doubt it greatly diminishes any redeeming value that the award ever had, so I've got no problem with him giving it back.

Real shitty to give your dead wife's award away. I'm sure it meant something to her, certainly more than some token to be given away over something so petty.

She got it because she's dead. It means nothing to her. Jesus where do you people come from?

It isn't surprising at all that a publication such as Glamour would give their "Woman of the Year" award to Bruce/Caitlyn Jenner; in fact, I would absolutely expect it, which is why, frankly, I would consider that same award given 14 years ago, posthumously, to such a genuinely brave woman who died while exhibiting such astounding courage, true heroism, & complete selflessness, to be basically without merit, particularly in comparison to the many other far more commonly well-respected publications of serious journalism concerning world events as well ones regarding women's issues. To put Jenner in the same category as Moira Smith, the heroic NYPD female officer who literally gave her life saving others during the 9/11 attacks, is completely outrageous and utterly disrespectful to her memory and the ultimate sacrifice she made, as well as a slap in the face to her family, loved ones, and her colleagues who also died while saving lives that day, but is hardly surprising considering the source. It also shows, without a doubt, how totally out of touch with reality this society has become, to accept the incredible notion that the exceptional bravery one exhibits by literally giving her life for others' safety in a horrific & terrifying situation is in any way comparable to some attention whoring celebrity's gender issues. So, kudos to Moira Smith's husband for standing up for his wife's memory and courage by giving back Glamour's "award."

Yeah, that Y chromosome is still gonna be there; nothing he can do about that - something people, including him, seem to forget. Until science finds a way to change XY to XX, he's male. ... And definitely a tool.

She must have sent him a message via a psychic telling him it meant something to her. I mean, after receiving an award AFTER death, and having no idea before she died she would get it. I'm sure it meant a lot....wait.......... Dumbass

It is amazing people think the award meant something to the dead wife. I guess dead people like awards.

But I thought Jenner had his junk chopped off? Thought that was the whole point. If he still has his junk then he's just a cross dresser taking hormone pills.

I admire this man's courage, because the LGBT community is about to put him squarely in their crosshairs, which is a fricking shame

I don't disagree with anything he said, but it's pathetic to use his deceased wife to make a political statement.

The LBG part of the "LBGT community" don't really care or even like the "T" part of the community. In fact, the "LBGT community" doesn't actually exist IRL. I doubt they give a shite.

This.

Did this woman have kids? Parents still living? A sister? Don't be an attention whore.

You've paired your wife (the only NYPD woman to die in 9/11) with a turd the Kardashian monster has laid. Poor job.
