Who was the guy(s) during Michael that were in the car and got caught up in the storm surge? That was a very entertaining stream.

Are we still talking about a hurricane?

yes.

Storm picks up water, pulls the heat out, and throws it out the top. The more it can vent, the more it can pull in. More heat flux = stronger storm.

I'm good for two or three suggestive posts a thread though.

Confirmed. I have been. There is nothing down there even along 98 through the Big Bend.

Laura’s pressure was 937mb at landfall at Cameron. you would think the wind projections would be higher

I remember watching at work. I thought I had just saw someone die. I’m sure there will be someone else that tries something stupid this time around with the way they try to push the limits now. I heard Spann say this morning that with that area it will be easy for someone to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

They will be.

Might not match the pressure, since it's going to be intensifying up till landfall. I'm thinking 130-135.

Yes! Thank you, I couldn't remember for the life of me.

That was some quality entertainment.

I think we’re getting close to the eye making its first appearance on the satellite.

This will give you a more zoomed in view of where the are currently forecasting the center of Idalia to make landfall.

What's worse is with the track jogging a little left, it's staying out in the hot hot Gulf longer, and will become a behemoth at landfall
