You haven't spent a lot of time in Florida, have you?
Especially anywhere outside of pure tourist type areas.

Seems like mainstream weather sources don’t want to give this one up.

We lost power here for about 4 hours....but that was before any hurricane or significant storm was even here. Just another typical random power outage. Sure it got counted in those stats

Weather channel girl was just on Jax beach and she mentioned the sand being blown around.
I’m like bitch, is this your first time to a beach in Florida. I get that shite in my ears, nose and eyes on a normal day.
News flash. Sand flies around at the beach.

Desantis just always sounds like he has a handle on things in the capacity of governor.
I’d have much preferred him over TSCS we have.

He shines in these moments. He’s just not an entertainer so sadly he’ll never win

Pls, I’m surrounded by transplants and city thots and am willing to drive out of the metro a bit. Kelsey has a second floor so she is not trailer trash unless they are stacking double wides on top of each other these days. Just tell me where to go.

I commented the same to my brother (who lives in Ft Myers). Seeing how they handled it last year and how surgical they have been with this one is impressive. Literally thought of and planned for everything. These mayors of the cities have been impressive as well.

She looks like a Cedar Key gal, but the graphic that is cutoff in the right corner says something beach.

Yep. Crawfordville has a lot of the power restored already.

Anywhere north of Orlando and your odds are about 50/50.

I see you are in Wakulla... Do you know anyone in Perry? Looking for a place with a large parking lot for my charity to setup and provide free hot meals.
Churches and bank usually have a spot we can make work.
Please have them contact me at alphaandomegatd@gmail.com.
Thanks

Try first Baptist of Perry.
They have a decent size parking lot for the area.

Tried and get no answer. Have tried many numbers on google and all are unanswered. I assume lines are down.
Do you happen to know a church member with a cell phone or email?

This loser on fox weather just told me I’m not going to be having drinks at Hilton Head Island tomorrow.
Yeah, ok guy.
Edit: It was Michael Estime. I’ll make sure to send him a pic of me kicked back enjoying a beverage in the sun.

Why not just load up the trailer and show up at some random place?

We like knowing where we are going to be setting up. An average trip (1 week and 6000-8000 meals) costs about $21,000 dollars.
I dont really want to run off somewhere willy nilly without a plan. But it may come to that, but I really prefer to have a plan.
Im not trying to beat a dead horse with the posts about where to go, we just want to help where ever the need is the greatest.
We have a lot of contacts for places in Louisiana, MS and AL because over the last few years that is where most storms went. We dont have the contacts for Florida yet.

I may be speaking out of turn but Perry has had alot of businesses close over the years so based on my drive-throughs, there are fair number of empty parking lots because the business has shut down.
Maybe google earth or google maps can give an idea....
Just a thought and might not even be worth $0.02
